Infinite Zombies 3D
'By Toao'

When I first saw Infinite Zombie’s 3D I was quite hesitant to try it, mainly because most 3D games made in Game Maker end up being buggy, laggy, and generally not very good. However, the screenshots did impress me so I went ahead and downloaded it. I must say that as soon as I opened the game I was pleasantly surprised. It contained an options menu in which I could edit a graphics quality (a rare thing among Game Maker gamer) as well as a few other things.

When I began playing the game promptly gave me the options of playing on 3 different maps, all of which were unlocked form the start and ready to be played.
Once a game started I was so incredibly surprised as to just how well the game controlled; the movement was smooth, the collisions didn’t cause me to get stuck in walls, the camera worked fine and it was just a huge relief knowing that this was going to be a well made and polished game.

The zombies proceeded towards me and when I started shooting the gun physics were great, they didn’t cause lag (and I was playing on the highest graphical settings) and I was really beginning to get into this game.
There were five zombies in the first wave which I thought was good, it allowed me to grasp the feel of the game and work everything out before sending out the big guns.
As I progressed I soon discovered a range of different weapons, as far as I can tell there are five different guns (including the pistol you start with) that all work differently.
After a while the difficulty level started to increase and it got harder and harder, but it never got so hard that I wanted to pickup my keyboard and throw it through my screen.

The graphics in this game were pretty good, the animation was fairly smooth and as far as Game Maker games go they were very impressive. The textures in the room were nice as were all of the objects that were around the maps. I quite liked the gun models and the shooting effects, I though they were great and it’s probably one of the best looking 3D shooters I’ve seen from game maker.

As far as I could tell the game was fairly well polished, I did have a couple of issues when I was surround by a huge amount of zombies where they began to pass through each other and get stuck, but nothing a few bullets to their face couldn’t fix.

As far as improvements that could be made go, maybe just adding an unlockable map or two and some more unlockable guns would add some more replay value to the game, as would online high scores, but the game doesn’t suffer a huge amount without them. Adding a lightly better shooting system in which headshots would do more damage then hitting their legs wouldn’t go astray and online multiplayer is a definite possibility if it can be done well.

Overall this was a very well made game, its fun, addicting and has very little issues, the graphics are really nice and it controls really well. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone looking for a decent shooter to muck around with, and for the price tag of $0.00 you can hardly complain.

I normally don't play 3D shooters because they often lag and have glitches. Just annoying. But after reading your review, I decided to try this one. And I must say it was pretty fun.

Like you said, it ran smoothly and the controls responded well. The graphics were simple but they worked fine. Same for the models: simple but effective.

I've only played about 10-15 minutes so far, but I haven't experienced any bugs. So I'll play more later.

Your review probably could've used a couple more screenshots. But on the other hand, they'd look pretty much the same. So that's fine. Overall, I liked your review. It was informative and it got me to play a game I might have missed otherwise. So nice job.

Great game very intense. Although the zombie AI doesn't always find you on it's own.
