I am using Game Maker Lite for Mac v7.5.83, which I downloaded from here.  When I try to run my game, the loading bar comes up to a certain point and just freezes.  I tried redownloading it, which didn't change anything.  I also tried downloading from here, but with that version, it wouldn't let me use it because the trial had no time on it, even though I hadn't used the trial at all.  I don't really want to spend $40 just to use the program, so could someone help me figure out the problem?

I've been trying to figure out how to do that. I don't see any option for it in the menu at the top.

Try clearing out your preferences then rerunning GM4Mac

rm -rf ~/.config/Game\ Maker\ for\ Mac
rm -rf ~/.config/Game_Maker
rm -rf ~/.config/YoYo70

I tried running this in the terminal. It did appear to clear the preferences, but when I tried to run my game, I still had the same problem.

This sounds like a similar problem to one posted on the GM4Mac Bug tracker.

It's resolved as being fixed in 7.5.85.

I'm not sure why you are still on 7.5.83, the Autoupdater brought me to 7.5.85

Thus my 'do an update' suggestion. :)

If you can't find the update button (I can't either haha), then maybe redownloading and reinstalling will bring you to the latest version.

As I said, I redownloaded the program, but the problem was still there. Do I have to uninstall my current version? If so, how do I do that? I'm kind of new to using a mac.

I think purchasing (either directly from YoYo or through the Mac App Store), would be your best solution.
