Launch it from your Start menu, not the old gmechanism icon.

That doesn't work either. Like I said it just..doesn't run :l I ran it from the Start Menu, from Windows Explorer, and the Installer.

Try deleting anything related to your GMech installation, then download it from Luke's website. That worked for me.

It's an installer because it's in Studio now. Also, if there are problems with the installer it's YYG's fault.

Can't you just export it as a ZIP file? It doesn't have to be an installer.

Fails. No matter how I run GMech, nothing happens. And when I see it from task manager:

^ This is what I see. A quiet process taking no CPU and little memory, and it just ends itself after about 10 seconds. I ran it from the installer, after deleting anything GMech-related, from Start Menu and from Windows Explorer..again.

Odd. No one has reported an issue like that yet. Try running it as admin? What OS you running?

That doesn't matter; right-click run as administrator. Programs default run as user-level.

Before the update it was compiled in 8.0, which may be why.

EDIT: Google and install the .NET Framework 4.0... That's necessary to run C++ programs. (you should already have it through windows update, but check anyway)

Alright, right click Gmechanism, click Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and run it in Compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2.

XD!

Okay it looks like there's a little confusion on how the user accounts are treated... The user doesn't have to know they're logging in/signing up for GMechanism... You can have your own GMech-powered user account system, and the user would never know GMechanism was behind it. I just have the account commands so you, the developer, can easily have a user account system without a server (server is provided).

EDIT: Also, I have finally figured out the "FIle not opened for reading" bug so that'll be fixed in the coming API release.

EDIT 2: Updated the application. See the Support button in GMechanism to view the changelog.

I was wondering, could you switch out some of the internet stuff to HTTP DLL2 by Marteen? It can download things without freezing the game, which would be pretty awesome.

Wow, sweet, I'm hooked. Can GMechanism be integrated into the game or do you have to access the game from GMechanism, like Steam?

Nope, it is integrated and can be completely independent from the GMechanism application.

BUT it's better to register your game in GMech so you can unlock a few features, and use online acheivements. Plus the GMechanism app has a great community with lots of users that use the API.
