EDIT: OMFG WAKE UP THIS MORNING AND WHEN I TRY OPEN GAMEMAKER A BILLION "Index out of range (0)" ERRORS FLY AT ME! MAY HAVE TO REINSTALL, UNI WORK TO DO ARGH!
I can haz extension? :P Jokes I'll try get stuff done but I think I'm gonna have to pull out as well dammit :/

It's morphed into, frankly, something that sounds a lot like what IMP's got there. Dude on ground, you hook up the wires, to get him going again. Or kill him. Haven't decided yet.

It was originally going to be a 'gem swapping' game(create the wires that way), but after a quick proto-type, was discarded. Gameplay seemed a bit heavy, although maybe that was because of clumsy implementation. Something to look at later maybe.

Things I have to think about.. dead areas which wires can't cross, certain wires can't cross each other, and objects to get around that (bridges of sorts).

Not sure I'm actually going to have much time in the next jam days to work on this. Could end up a bit of a 3 hour project all up..! D:

I was fortunate enough to come up with such a great concept.

Updated to V .4! This is probably the final version! The game now has powerups, balloons and spikes, and much much more(Actually nothing more)! Have fun!

Freeze live missiles in mid air! Then use them as platforms to travel upwards away from the ever-following concentration of live energy below! Watch out for live rockets, if you don't freeze them they can kill you!

Right now it's just a basic game, you use A, W and D for movement and the mouse to click and freeze missiles. I never thought I'd get this much done so quickly! :3

The show is being aired on LIVE television you have been put charge of making sure nothing goes wrong. Unfortunately the Duckian of Planet Evil have come to mess up the Show! Fix and Solve various task to save the show while bringing down the The Duckian Overlord, Tim, and the Evil Duckian empire in this epic tactical arcade shooter game.

Fly your amazing spaceship in circles and even bigger circles!
shoot oxygen-169 bubbles to:
-make fireworks explode!
-control and hurdle Magnium scraps and other objects!
-Shoot down Evil foes!
Use lasers because lasers are awesome!

Okay, so basically, thanks to a partner who did very little indeed, I haven't got much done. It's really a basic test of what you could expect if I continued it. I've got movement, basic combat, water stuff done. I tried to make combat more humorous than actually challenging, because I thought that would be better. Not sure if I pulled it off though :P
I'll only give one screenshot, because I don't want to spoil anything.
Altogether there are 4 unique battles/enemies. Try to get them all (it shouldn't be hard). There's actually some nice systems at play in my game, but you don't really get to see them much (blood spreading through water, reflections, etc.)
Ah well. If I get in the top 3, I'll continue the game properly and actually get a decent sized game out of it. Who knows? Perhaps my "humour" will be funny.

Enemies and Allies TDS:
Wow, everbodys games look EXTRA AWESOME! I am afraid my game has no chance with the terrible graphics and glitchy gameplay.

The goal is to keep your allies alive while getting to the end of the level.
Features:
  • Stealth/Run n' gun elements, it doesn't really fit in either category.
  • Guards who are idiots
  • Nice graphics with realistic shading
  • 1 whole guns to choose from
  • Do I really need to list more epicness?

Made the AI dumber, by fixing a glitch. So basically non-glitchy very dumb AI.

The Underworld


A Crime RPG about the life and times of a London criminal

No screen shots as yet, as I've been mostly planning all the missions today. I have started on a city generator, and I've hammered out how the buildings and roads will work, and 60% through road creation, hitting some snags.

Judging by how much I got done today, I probably won't finish in time, but bah! It's good to use the jam as a focused period of work.

The basics of the game are similar to mafia wars, but you play the missions instead of just click a button. They are the same missions (transport, kill, capture etc.) with a different area of the city generated and different items for each mission (One mission has you transporting money, another has you transporting a car, for example). There will be special, scripted missions to spice things up.

I know the theme is sort of loose, as I don't know how much story I'll be able to put in this. But it's about the life of an individual, so yeah.

I have completed my game, and you can find the topic here.

For the record, this is my first ever attempt at making a game of this kind, and the first non-Arcade game I've made in close to five years, so I'd love to know your thoughts on my step outside my comfort zone.
