there is...
-speed control
-midi export ability's
-saving/loading
-virtual keyboard
to save a save file left click blue disk icon
to load right click blue disk icon
to save MIDI file click red circle (record button) and once again to save it

Outpost detects this as spy-ware and deletes it.That makes this tool really shady if I should use it. I rather let my firewall do it's chores.

Your direct link doesn't work, so now I'm waiting 45 seconds for MegaUpload <_< . I'll edit when I've downloaded and tried it, but really, either fix your direct link or host somewhere that doesn't have a timed delay.

*EDIT* It's okay. The UI is a bit odd, but it works. I don't think this is the first ever; I swear I've seen at least 2 others before. And a word of advice: do not save the files as pure GML. It leaves it wide open to code injection (which I did do for the fun of it  ). But otherwise, it does what it's supposed to, so I guess it's okay.

And jobro, I've never heard of Outpost, but Avast!, Ad-Aware, and Spybot all say the file is perfectly clean. I'd suggest getting a better malware program.

Why would this matter in a tool?

Why wouldn't it? Are you saying security only matters in games?

you right or left click the blue floppy disk (I think right loads and left saves but it may be reversed )
to record a midi you click the red button it will turn green then click play and let your song run through. once your song is done click the button which is still green it will turn red and ask you to save the file

This is really good. I made a song and was going to upload it but mow I can't find it :(

Here are some suggestions so you can improve it because it has a lot of potential.
  • Add the ability to load midi files
  • Let the user move multiple notes
  • Ability to change note volume
  • Half notes, quarter notes etc

So far I honestly prefer this Finale Notepad which costs $10 :P
