I am currently making a Top-down Shooter game which features vehicles, aircraft and fairly advanced AI. I have got the majority of the engine and gameplay working, however I feel that the game needs to progress now through the addition of a storyline. I therefore need a team member to help me to, or individually come up with a storyline for the game.

I basically need a fairly detailed background story to the game, as you (the character) will then discover parts of what has gone on in the past through notes and objects found as the game progresses. (In a similar fashion to Resident Evil, or Metroid Prime). The story will therefore become "non-compulsory", and players who wish to rush through can do so, while others can spend time exploring the world to find out more.

There will also be a need for a plot as to what the actual player does during the game - why are they there? Where is it? What are they doing? However, this will need to be less detailed, probably, as the background story should fill most of the gaps, and a gameplay plot should become evident.

I therefore need the following help / post:

  >Storyline / Plot Writer
They need to do what has been described above. If you only fancy writing the background story, or just have an idea for part of it,  that's fine, too.

Reward: I give you a place at the top of the credits, a link to your profile or website from mine, and you can have a character in the story named after you, if you want. ;)

If you are interested but need more detail, please PM me. If you want to try out the game, to see if it is up to your standards, or to get inspiration, or more details, check its topic here.

PM me to apply for the job role - I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

EDIT:
Postition filled for now. Will say if it re-opens as I may add some more slots for people. If you have a great idea, still feel free to contact me - any help is welcome!
