That 1GB could make a big difference if it means you can fit all the data into your RAM, and she has to move some to a paging file.

Also, on my old laptop I had a 7200RPM hard drive, which I found made many games' initial loading times much shorter (standard in laptops is 5200RPM, they run them slower than desktop ones to save power).

Of course there's other factors involved, like how much spyware and malware is boggin down her system :D

i suppose, oh well. i would only get a mac for the way they look. i would dual boot it with windows right away. wouldnt be able to stand not having windows handy :P

I dual boot, but generally spend most my time in Mac OS. I use Windows for gaming (although I don't call it that, I'm only a casual gamer :D) and for when someone says hey can you look at my GM 8.1 file thnx :D.

And I would that as a game developer, you would not only get a Mac for the way they look but also so you can actually test your games when publishing to Mac?

Do you mean the menu bar? It's good in some situations, but it is a waste of time for things like GM games. All it has is the name of the game as a menu item, and that menu lets you quit. As every windowed application is forced to have that bar, it wastes space. I also feel like I could easy do without the dock, but it's impossible to disable it. I have set up my Mac OS in a way I mostly like though, but I don't have the dock on the bottom. On a widescreen it's a huge waste of vertical real estate.

And I don't think it would be possible to make a Windows 7 mod that removes menu bars from all applications and put's them into your own bar at the top. It may be possible to do it with certain applications though. It wouldn't work too well with Word's new "ribbon" interface...

You should install Hackintosh OS X at least. Otherwise you won't be able to get the quality of your game up to scratch.

He's saying you really need to get something that runs Mac OS so that you can test your Mac games yourself.

Good luck with that... the Mac community is dirt small.

Getting a Mac is far easier than finding someone to help. Trust me.

The concept is a bit raw.

I can help you port it to iPhone and Android. PM me if you are interested.

Just tested the mac version and some of the meteors collisions seem to be off. The bounce off each other before they actually hit each other.

someone should test both the windows version and the mac version. then they will see whats off. the mac versions (for whatever reason) doesnt behave anything like the windows version. even though they are from the exact same gmk. the windows version is the way it should be, because the windows version behaves exactly like i want it. the mac version is not working properly and is buggy, im not sure if this is a problem within gm4mac or if it doesnt support the same commands as windows game maker.
