This version is now obsolete anyway. Alpha 2 includes a plugin system which make adding other functions much easier, an example plugin set is included which adds support for Max WinAPI 2. Alpha 2 has over 170 functions included including some support for 39dll. Not quite sure when i will release but keep an eye out for the new version.

Any idea when Alpha 2 will be completed?

Currently i am having problems with 39dll commands, Games don't currently connect with each other unless over LAN or on the same computer. Once this problem is fixed i plan to add sound support (not quite sure how i'm going to do this as JGame only supports .wav) then i will release =)

Can has LWJGL?

I was thinking about this the other day. The only plus i can see LWJGL giving is that it supports 3D. Not many 3D games are sucessful anyway =P. Its something to keep in mind, maybe the final version will have an option between JGame and LWJGL.

Update! Woo :tongue: I have had many people pming me so i thought i would post here about whats happening. Currently working on a full GUI for FrozenNova. Currently you can open and modify gmk and gm81 files. This is a step towards FrozenNova being a seperate program. I am also studying for NCEA exams, so development is slow but expect a release in the next 2 weeks :biggrin:

Copying JGame to build folder
Trying to compile the .java file!
Error: The java file failed to compile!

Unfortanatly version 2 was lost when my laptop was sent into Toshiba (Why they needed to reformat when they were replacing the fan I will never know :confused: )

Anyway, Since GM:HTML5 has come out I have stopped developing FrozenNova. I searched my external HD and found a more updated version then the one posted here with backgrounds, applet support, a plugin system and a general clean up (Link).

IF I was to start development again I would need help as the version above is ready to go, It just needs plugins to be written for each GM command (The base is mostly finished)

If someone PM's me and is willing to help I will consider restarting the project :tongue:

3 Things...

  • **** you... If you have nothing better then to troll GTFO of my topic.
  • This was never started to be a BIG thing. It was first started to better my Java skills.
  • I realise that GM:Studio is coming out soon, In fact I will be buying just as I brought GM:Html5.

Hello!
I now find this converter program, but when I try to load into GM, it write the following message: "Cannot find extension package: gmxml".
And when I running FrozenNova Alpha 1.exe, it write out:
"Error: Failed to extract the GMK file!
Something has gone wrong with GMKSplit. Redownloading may fix this error."
What is wrong?

To load the GMK you are going to need the GMXML extension. This can be found below.
http://gmc.yoyogames...howtopic=462882

To fix the "Failed to extract the GMK file" error, you need to either install the JDK (Java Development Kit) or have a System Variable pointing to it.
Link for the JDK: http://www.oracle.co...oads/index.html

To set up a variable.
Right click on Computer/My Computer in the start menu and select properties.
Click Advanced System Settings
In the Window that opens, goto the Advanced tab
Click the Environment Variables
Under System Variables find one called "path" (If its not there create it)
Set the variable as the directory of you JDK setup. For example for me its "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_23\bin"
If there is already something in the variable add a semi colon. For example "C:\Windows\SysWOW64;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_23\bin"

Thank you, Proud Kiwi, but...
I have download and install gmXML and jdk-7u2-windows-i586, but when I running FN Alpha 2, it show the following error message:

ERROR in
action number 1
of Create Event
for object Control:

Error in code at line 150:
if (string_pos(javadirectory,pathvar) > 0)
^
at position 17: Unknown variable javadirectory

In that code are these lines:

//Detect JDK Version
registry_set_root(1)
if (registry_exists_ext("\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.6","JavaHome"))
{

(...)

Instead of this:
"\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.6"

I have put the following path:
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_02\bin
(or without "\bin")

Is this not what I need?

"\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit\1.6" is a path in the registry not a directory path.

Try changing 1.6 to 1.7. When I wrote that code the JDK was only at version 6. If that still doesn't work just ignore the error, a game will still compile if you ignore the message.

Please note that Frozen Nova is no longer in development, so the version that you have won't be updated.

Okay, Kiwi, now I begin to understand it, but there are an error:

Java Development Kit 1.6.0_02 was found!
(C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_02)
Classpath is set!

GMKSplit Version 0.15
JGame Version 3.6

test_plugin;
Found 1 plugin(s)

Error: A major error has occured
The compile loop has been executed more than once, this usually occurs when Game Maker throws an error.

What I should do?
