Description:
It has been over 5 years since Hard Hat defeated Dr. Wily and he has been sitting in Hard Hat's cell when on a day like any other an old friend comes to break him out. It's Dr. Light looking for Wily's help to defeat the ultra-violent Hard Hat!

Controls:

Game Pad is now customizable

  • Jump - Z
  • Shoot - X
  • Special - C
  • Pause/Select - Space
  • Control - Arrow Keys
  • Hover Jump - Press Z after Jumping
  • Duck - Press Down

Customizable Options:
  • Stronger Enemies - This option makes the enemies take more hits and Hard Hat takes more damage
  • Enemy Flickering - This option makes enemies flicker when hit
  • Terrain Death - This option makes you die when you hit spikes or lava. If it is off you will merely be hurt
  • Terrain Flickering Death - This option makes you die when you hit spikes or lava even if you are flickering. It will turn on the terrain death option
  • Auto Energy Tank - This option will use an E-Tank right before Hard Hat is defeated

Robot Masters:
I did not make all the Robot Masters. They are edited/shaded/recolored by me to fit the style but the design and idea behind them are not mine. The belong to the following people (some not on the GMC):
  • Trap Man - Stonehand
  • Blaze Gal - Basty
  • Sketch Man - Xharn
  • Thistle Man - Rydion
  • Number Man - Maverick-PK
  • Sea Man - Damaged
  • Pulse Man - Damaged
  • Aerial Man - Damaged

Thank you all so much for letting me use your Robot Masters! :)

And Finally...
I am so excited to finally be releasing the full game to you all! It only took what, 5 years? LOL! I hope that the wait proves to be worth it. Since my last HH game I like to think I have improved a bit so I hope that shows in this game. This game is more for me than anything else as well. I had always wanted to finish it and I am so glad that I did. Kind of at a loss actually. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do! : )

Enjoy,
Damaged

Another hard hat game? Awesome!

The game is a bit hard to play on keyboard(no gamepad right now), but the game is great as always. It's nearly as good as a real megaman. And it's a big compliment coming from a Rockman fan. I'm not sure if it was in HH3(don't think so) but the hover copter is a nice touch.

Good job, especially for completing such a huge project! Can't imagine the work it is to make a megaman game. :)

Wow!!!

Great to see Hard Hat back in action!

Your work inspired me when working on my own Megaman game, and it also made it so I could never fully trust those cute little Hard Hats... who knows what evil lurks beneath their blinky eyes?!

"Your work inspired me when working on my own Megaman game, and it also made it so I could never fully trust those cute little Hard Hats... who knows what evil lurks beneath their blinky eyes?!"

I'm glad to have had such an effect  That might be one of the biggest compliments that can be given : )

"Damaged, good to see HH come back! Downloading now, I'm sure it'll be as hard and well put together as all the previous ones"

I hope it doesn't disappoint ^_^

It takes 10 seconds with the transition to get to the next room, that's pretty long. I don't know if it's just me, the game runs fine otherwise (quite processor intensive, but no lag).

Other than that, I enjoyed what I've seen so far. Nice level design and original bosses. Call me a fan of the series. ;)

LOLWUT ? No no. People blush when they are honored

In all the machines that I have tested this on (XP, Vista, 7 all with a variety of processors, RAM, etc) that has never happened so I don't know what to tell you D:

Awesome work! However, I do have a bit of criticism for you:

1 - The music
Not really a big deal, more of a preference thing... I just hate midis. It would've been great if you could've created your own 8-bit music with famitracker, but oh well.

2 - The weapons
The problem I have with the weapons is they're for the most part, all very mediocre. Thistle Thorn, Graphite Bullet, and Bear Trap all basically act like slightly edited Mega Buster shots. Electric Pulse is a bit too awkward to justify its large energy consumption. But you do have some pretty nice weapons, like Dice Mine and Spinning Blade(?).

That's just my two cents. It's still a great game, certainly better than most Mega Man fan games out there. I just wanna give you something to think about if you ever decide to make Hard Hat V. >_>

This is great. I remember these games. Unfortunately, I also remember being remarkably bad at them. Nice work, Damaged. :)

The design is extremely professional. Megaman was never my cup of tea but if it was then I know I would love this.

I'm a new member of this forum. . .

I've just made a topic about my megaman fanmade and some minutes later. .

I've just found another person who worked so hard too to make a really good game based on the master piece of Capcom!!! jejeje ^_^

-----------------------------------------
I really liked your game dude. . I've just played two levels. . but it's enough to see all the effort you have made to achieve this. . I liked the music a lot (good selection), the level design, sound effects,. . . everything!!

I'll continue with the next levels, and I hope there are as good as the ones I've played. . .

For the meantime. . . Very good job Damaged!!

Great job on this game. The engine is very solid and the gameplay mechanics are top notch. I remember playing and beating out the first 3 hard hats a few years back. There's alot of challenge in all the games. I'm playing through 4 now. Playing as a met with so many features is definitely a novel concept. :) I like the music you chose as well.
