1Day Projects - Insane PlaneV1.0
WARNING: Very Hard

INFO:
I had a weekend full of nothing, so I decided to make a simple fast paced dodging game within one day.
Only for experienced shoot em up players though, as the difficulty level is quite high. It's one hell of a flight!
The main idea is to graze incoming space shrapnel to score points, along with a few other gameplay elements.
ReadMe file included.

That was intense and hard.

WASD would be nice. My keyboard doesn't have arrow keys.

Omg why Megaupload? Use box.net.

Will edit after playing, looks good in vid from what I saw.

Edit:

Pretty fun, but the movement is a bit too much. Seems like just 1 tap sends you flying.

Thanks for the comments folks.
I made a few changes:
-The download link has been changed.
-It is now possible to control the plane with the ASDW keys.
-The reaction time of the plane is less sensitive (although it's still pretty sensitive as that's part of the game).
-The third golden pilot appears a few seconds later, making it a little easier to grab it without taking damage.

@Coffee: Thanks for the tip, that's a pretty fancy upload site.

I'd like to see the following
unlimited mode (survive as long as you can with random obstacles with obstacles getting harder) this mode could have a cooldown skill which would allow to remove everything on the screen. The cooldown could be a minute.
extreme mode (everything moves x2 faster or just the plane moves 2x faster) this mode could also make score increase faster
randomly shooting trap
ships that fly into the player (do not change direction)

I really like it, but it's too harsh on the player. Try an easier "tutorial" level and then just challenges.

I've just changed the movement speed from the Insane Plane, which makes it somewhat easier to control.
-Enjoy!

Just played it...

Really good action and graphics...

It looks easy in the video...but I had a hard time surviving for more than a minute.

Hmm played it, seems kinda cool, had huge lag on first run, my pc specs are:

4gb ddr3
i5 2.3ghz
nvidia geforce gt 540m 2gb ddr3
750gb hhd

ran on high performance. No antivirus in background and so on CPU and RAM useage was below 15% and 45% respectively

so I don't exactly know what happened there, so as to gameplay, it was a bit tooo linear for my taste but had good motion and eye candy. I did dislike the star background in the beginning. (if you want I can give u code for a random moving starfield generator that's one object. uses almost no resources)sorry I always look at useless little details but other than that great concept. a bit "short" and after you've finished it it gets boring. I did like the difficulty.(are you hardcore gamer though? coz it does seem to show) but cool, sound did get a bit annoying after a bit since i died over and over and over and over and.....

keep it up.

Oi, thanks for your reply:)
Well this game isn't to serious of a project as it was made in a single day. so there's a lot of room for improvement. Yes, the stars are ugly as the motionblur's inactive in the beginning. I actually really don't care as the game itself isn't that great at all, lol. The lag is kinda weird though, shouldn't happen! I don't consider myself a hardcore gamer, but I do have nifty reflexes =P
So you actually managed to complete the game? That's impressive... most people don't even get past the first part of the game! Anyway, your star generator code would be welcome, would be interesting to see what techniques you've used:)

cool well sent it, oh yeah I managed to finish only after playing over and over and over lol. but as soon as you remember the sequence then it's a bit easier i suppose, except for the minor movement mistakes and little bit of randomness

True. My other shooter you commented on will be much cooler though. I'm working on it as we speak, and it has much more content :D (it's way better)
