Let me say that it's the first time I find my self laughing loudly because of a game made in Game Maker :lol: Especially when it said that I have -1 lives left :lol: But I really said fuuckkkk when I got to -17 lives and trying alot just to get past those spikes on the start! :angry:

Nice work! you should add taunts in the background saying "****", "What the ****?!" and etc...

I'm almost done stage 2. It's coming soon, so keep an eye out for it.

Yeah, the general consensus seems to be that stage 1 is a little too hard. I've improved my checkpoint code, so there'll be more of them per level for the next update. I'm really happy that you liked it, and actually tried the mouse controls. Even I couldn't beat it with the mouse, so kudos for being first.

Edit: Wow, another reply! We're up to two pages now!!! Woo hoo! :lol:

Oh yeah, and besides Yingyay and Vivi, who else has beaten the first level?

Heh!
I tried it and it seemed like a good start - it will be better once you replace the graphics (which I think you should).

I think this game would be suited to gory deaths in a large variety of ways - spikes / crushed / smashed. Like on Heart of Darkness - an old PS1 game.

This game has quite a bit of potential, I think, but still needs some work. New graphics will be a vast improvement.

Also - please could you try my game - in my sig?
It needs some feedback and support, to to honest - I'd really appreciate it.

Pretty decent game. More unfair than hard. Reminds me of IWBTG.

The only problems I found where with the games collision and speed. The player movement was a bit jerky and he accelerates and stops too quickly. Try decreasing the gravity, acceleration and friction.

Fun game. Keep it up.

Hey thanks! Just so you know, I created all of level 2's graphics so you should be able to see that shortly. Been busy lately, so I haven't been able to work on this as much as I'd like to. I mentioned my graphics somewhere in the middle of another one of my posts, so it's kinda hard to find and I'm okay if you didn't see it.
I'm gonna go download your game right now.

Lol thanks! All of the collision issues have been fixed for a while, by the way. The list is underneath the download link, since I find it a little excessive to update every single time I find something.
I also looked up IWTBTG. Seems interesting.

i like the part where you can jump too high and die in the background

also turning continous music off, makes the experience better

Argh! It's so difficult, but it keeps me coming back for more...

I rated it on YoYo - it's so damn addictive!

I'd be willing to play through several levels, but not if that's the first one, as I can't complete it!

Progressing nicely, though - nice one.

Also, I added more checkpoints to level 1, so it should be a lot easier now.

I actually downloaded your game yesterday, but it won't work on my computer. I clicked on it, but it didn't start up. No title screen, nothing. So I thought I'd wait for another update before commenting so I'd actually have something useful to say. :)

I think I should go download it again. Maybe it was just the download that got screwed up.

It starts in full screen too, but i prefer it because the last boss room is small.

Beat the updated version (Level 2 first, then Level 1). Level 1 was harder by quite a bit, but Level 2 was more creative and, in my opinion, more fun. The earlier checkpoint in Level 1 was ENORMOUSLY helpful - reduced a lot of tiring and useless busywork. The best part of this game is figuring out how to beat the next part. Oh, yeah, and by the way, The people who made the secret ocean lab thingy are friggin' jerks. A platform made of PAPER?! Really?! Not to mention the other part that I won't give away. The reactor part was very cool. The game has a high degree of polish and is very fun. I hope you finish it.

P.S. - Get GM8.1 Standard before the price goes up (if it hasn't already). It is utterly worth it. And the annoying thing at the beginning would go away.

P.P.S. - You can sequence-break the second level if you time going through the door right. :rambo

First level: 7 mins 23 secs. Finally did it.
Second level (combined time, I think) 19 mins 28 secs.
Had something like -108 lives.

Wow. I genuinely just played your game for 20 minutes - very addictive. Nicely done!

(Plus, I was willing to comment here and bump my game from the top of the WIP list... Posted Image)

And it wasn't even on my game! Damn it...

Hey everyone!

Thanks so much for the feedback and the screenshots! I'm planning on buying GM, but I've been seeing all these bug report topics lately so I'm sticking with 8.0 until I'm 100% sure it won't corrupt my .gmk or something when I use it. I'd make a copy of my .gmk before using it anyway, but you know what I mean, right?

Junhalestone, I'm gonna go bump your topic now cause you bumped mine. :)

And AKSuperNewb, I laughed so freaking hard at your comment! Haha thanks for that. And where and how exactly did the sequence break happen? Was it the first door?

Melle1, I get the feeling you're going to have the top score for a LONG time... I also figured out that your game is a 32-bit application. I have a 64-bit PC and the compatibility settings didn't work (They never do. Bleh.) so I'll go try it on another computer as soon as I get the chance.

One last thing. I added another feature to the high score list. You should go check it out, I'm sure it'll make you very happy. :) Feel free to tell me if you'd like yours changed.

Edit: WHOA, I just noticed that I'm in the second row of the first page for top rated WIPs on YYG! Let's keep it that way! Thanks to everyone who rated!
