Boom Chk Chk Bang! v1.5
Genre: Puzzle-Platform
7.3 MB

Play as an insane yellow person who, in his insanity, decided to blow up everything he could!
Detonate blocks and solve puzzles as you progress through 20 levels full of explosive fun!
Featuring 2 game modes - the fairly relaxed "Normal" and the challenging "Destruction".
(The first version of this game was made over a weekend for the 2nd GMC Jam. And it won 1st place! :D )

Bumping the topic due to the announcement that this game was voted #1 in the GMC Jam! Thanks to everyone who voted for it! :)

Now, while this game is technically "complete" I'm still gonna try and update it (semi) regularly with new levels and stuff, so watch this thread for the latest developments. :)

Very enjoyable game, the explosion particles would look better if they didn't all go at the same speed though. :)
And maybe you could have a slightly bigger screenshake?
I hope to see more levels and more obstacles soon!

That was short a very enjoyable. All the criticisms that could be made are pretty minor. The good color scheme stopped the shaking from being too much of an issue. Very well done. I can see why it won.

At long last, the game has been updated!

The brand new v1.5 has a big bunch of new features including menus, a save feature, a new "Destruction" mode, several new/edited levels, "Hurry Blocks" that disappear soon after you step on them, the ability to adjust the level of shaking (mild, heavy, or off), different-colored level backgrounds, and more! I hope you enjoy it! :)

and i never notice that "Level" spell forward "Level"

Short, sweet, and to the point. That's your game. Long enough to be really fun, short enough to not overstay its welcome. I love the humorous comments in the levels, and the shaking was surprisingly tolerable. Who the heck doesn't like explosions lol?

Glad you liked it! Yeah, I somehow never realized that "level" was a palindrome until I was writing the text for that level. You learn something new every day, I guess. :P

Thanks! I've been considering an update for a while, but I'm not really sure what I'd do with it. Maybe add a level editor?

Any suggestions for what you'd want to see?

A level editor would most definitely be awesome... I was thinking along the lines of just having more levels, but a level editor would be amazing!

Needs more puzzle elements. Right now it's mostly just action and precision jump things.
