Hey guys. I just upgraded my Game Maker from 8.0 to 8.1 and it failed! I installed with the correct installer (the one that required your softwrap code) and downloaded and then started installing. It was working fine and installing properly. Also Game Maker was opening looking almost correct when i opened it. But there is a little text saying: Game Maker 8.1 Lite. I have bought the Pro edition in Game Maker 8 so i just cant see why i should be Lite? Hope some of you can help me! And i later tested it and it is still Lite edition!

At the risk of insulting your intelligence, have you tried to input your email and license number you received from Softwrap? (I believe this upgrade window in under the "help" menu in Game Maker 8.1)

Anyway... what message was displayed after you entered your codes into the GM upgrade window?

Nothing interisting just some important information about my product. Only the key for 8.1 and that stuff... Also i'm surprised that no window appears and say: Hey you still have the lite edition! Do you want to upgrade to pro edition now? And sorry that i dont told you that guys!

The key appears? Does it also say "registered to <your email>" ?

Are you sure it's not already upgraded to the "Standard Edition" ?

I'm not talking about the email your received from softwrap / YYG whatever. I'm talking about what it says in the pull-down menu in Game Maker itself.

In GM, click "help" then select "about GM". What does it say?

That doesn't agree with what you said in post #5. Once again, read my post #2 and try to manually upgrade from within GM itself.

If that still fails, contact the Helpdesk at YoYo Games.

It still fails so i'm gonna contact helpdesk.. It says that my coupon code is invalid so im just gonna contact helpdesk!

Are you sure you're entering your license key into GM, which Softwrap emailed you when you entered your purchase reference number on their website?

Finally... after 11 posts. Why didn't you say this in your first post? Or in response to post #2? Or in response to post #4 where I explicitly asked this question?
