Well, it was better than Cubes(the mouse firing was just terrible). However, I didn't like that the game took up the whole screen and you couldn't adjust it. I also didn't like that you only had two lives and that was it, so it was like a near-perfection challenge(where perfect would be one life).

The graphics were good. I was wondering what program you used for creating sprites?

Thanks for the reply. What did you think of the gameplay itself?

I use the Adobe suite for all the graphics, mostly illustrator. For some of the textures I used Pixelmator.

Did you use Fireworks as well or did you skip that software? Well, the gameplay was just like any other TD games with the exception of the collection of coins.

Nice game! I did notice that its significantly better to build lots of towers than to upgrade them, so my biggest feedback would be to provide early level upgrades that increase firing rate (if they were there I didn't see them) and add at least one or two more towers that can attack both ground and airborne enemies (maybe towers that have low firing rates but are able to slow down the enemies?). I felt like I spent much more time guessing at what might come next (and consequently trying to build ground/flying towers to match) than really strategizing, which could or could not be a good thing. You just have to find the sweet spot there, because it's good to keep the player on their toes, not so good to keep them in the dark. Go with your own plan, of course. I know that all I saw was a small demo. Like I said, great game! Beautiful graphics and I really enjoyed playing it.

EDIT: I didn't realize this had already reached the Game Maker Creations topic. haha. well if anything I said still stands then great I feel contributive x)

Your game looks very nice! But the graphics look like png's with alpha. I didn't know GM for Mac supported this?

Also, game flickers real bad on the right hand side in fullscreen. Then I can not see all of it in window mode. My MacBook Air resolution is 1366x768.

It does support alpha... GM7 does too. The functions are sprite_replace_alpha or sprite_add_alpha, among others.

I believe I recall those now. It's been a while and I really haven't been as active in GM since 2000-2002. Thanks for posting that. ;)
