Age of Empires

since when is microsoft japanese?

I was referring to Age of Empires: Mythologies for the Nintendo DS.

Course, that was developed by Ensemble Studio... before Microsoft absorbed it.

What do you get in return?

Sushi is a big hit in Sweden. And japanese pop culture has been part of our pop culture since Dragon Ball got translated to english for the first time.

I'm surprised with so few from Australia. I thought we had more Aussies here. Maybe I just thought that because they make more noise. :P

;D

I'm actually surprised with so few in Aus too, expected a bit of a higher concentration by now.

Sushi is a big hit in Sweden.

It makes sense you'd eat raw fish. It's difficult to start cooking fires in such a cold wasteland.

japanese pop culture

... shudders ...

Regarding the map, maybe we should give prizes (ok, just pats on the back) to the most northern, most southern, and most remote GMC members.

EDIT: By "remote", I mean geographically. Not by mental acuity.)

Added myself a while back, suprised no stalkers are here :P

Actually, Jake Habgood was in town not long ago. He did a speech called "Game Maker made easy" about GM's capabilities. I'm suprised some of the people there were there, one was 13 and knew Objective-C and another was talking about the Spectrum or something

Why? This topic is great fun, but it's pretty pointless. I'm surprised it's still here, since it breaks Community Forum rules against topics about "where are you from" and "how old are you".

Let's not push our luck.

A prize for actually having an Internet connection and being capable of downloading Game Maker?

EDIT: By "remote", I mean geographically.

But how do you define 'remote'? Even the U.S. has remote, or exclusive, areas. And Australia is pretty remote to me.

Not by mental acuity.)

Yes - well, I do feel like I'm on an island, sometimes.

People might click their location from a really low zoom level and might accidently click ocean.

I only see one who's truly in the ocean: Losties (likely a joke). The other one is Shiritt, who's on the island of Corvo. Zoom in to see.

I meant greatest distance from another GMC member. Right now, that title goes to DavidL. Second place goes to Shiritt.

Well I'm out of that one; spent the whole of today and yesterday with about 1.2kb/sec download speeds. It estimated about eleven hours to download the Doctor Who theme tune (not counting the times it freezes or cuts out altogether). Two percent so far... gonna leave it on overnight and see what happens.

How do you load websites?
The same happened to me when i was using a 3G internet modem.. they suck badly.. but i was able to pull it to 15-30 kb/s at times, so it was bearable.

Ah... I see your internet service uses the latest technology: CPwUSB (carrier pigeon carrying a USB memory stick).

The map shows one member located in China... but I'm pretty sure he's British.

Actually, the GMC might have lots of Chinese members. But maybe they're too busy planning world domination to post.

Knowing China, the government probably has the GMC blocked anyway.
