Description
In Pixel Shooter, you must destroy enemies using a small pixel-shooting pixelated ship. Get large scores by stringing combos together, the more enemies you destroy while keeping your combo, the higher you'll score!
Gain experience by collecting the pixels enemies drop. Use this experience to upgrade different aspects of your ship, allowing you to destroy more faster! Power-ups will also help you to attain higher combos thus getting higher scores.

The game starts off with just one type of enemy, but as your ship becomes more powerful and you score more points, a variety of enemies will start to spawn in attempt to annihilate you!

Hello there,
I'll do a quick little review.

Good:Soundtrack: Spiffin good. Suites the game well
Graphics: Like the style, ties in with the music

What needs improving:The Orbs- Greatly increase the range/speed at which they float towards you very difficulty to pick up
Shooting: Increase the rate of fire and the speed at which the bullets travels. Pick up the pace and put some more excitement into it
Movement: Tone down the momentum modifier alot. Feels really sluggish.

Other than that, a good game with polish. But if you want a great game, see above.

Also, the concept of your game would be suitable for mobile devices. Have you thought about it at all?If you implemented a control scheme similar to 'PewPew' for android this would be a pretty cool game.

Anyhows best of luck!

Thank you for playing :)

I agree the pixels/orbs do feel like they should move a little quicker towards the player.

I'm a bit confused as to what you mean here:

Tone down the momentum modifier alot. Feels really sluggish.

Could you maybe expand a little more on what exactly feels sluggish?

Also, the concept of your game would be suitable for mobile devices. Have you thought about it at all?If you implemented a control scheme similar to 'PewPew' for android this would be a pretty cool game.

I have thought about it, but personally I don't feel it would be too popular as a mobile game, I might try porting it to mobiles at a later stage, but for now I'd rather move on to another project :)

Basically after you start moving in one direction and then decide to turn around and move in the other direction you are fighting your own momentum for a good few seconds- meaning you don't actually move at all. This also seemed to be a problem when trying to move in the direction of shooting as the recoil was a considerable amount.
This may seem like a good idea on paper but in the end it really only serves to slow down the game.
