My game, Blockster 2, has yet to get Instant Play support and it has been weeks since its release. All of my other games have Instant Play support, so why doesn't this one game get Instant Play?

Same problem with me. I've tried what Davve suggested multiple times and it didn't work. The Game Maker Blog has said this on twitter.

There seems to be a new version of YoYo Games' Instant Play plugin. No word on any changes yet.

That doesn't work. It doesn't allow me to change the play type.

If it was made in any version of GameMaker below 7.0, it won't receive instant play support.

Try doing this in google chrome:
  • Right-click on the "Play Type" box
  • Click "Inspect Element" at the bottom
  • Press the arrow on the selected line
  • Double click on "both", and change it to "ip"
  • Click the Next button on the page to confirm settings

Lets see... I just checked the game, you only uploaded one exe, so that's good. Have you tried re uploading the game (Just out of curiosity) to check if it will work?

Have you checked other recent games, to see if they have Instant Play support?

Looks like Instant Play stopped working for all newly submitted games, back in early February...

I love client sided filtered forms. Shows the experience of the PHP coder who designed them.

Yep, that's also the only way to get your game into the "Utility" category, by editing the value of the selected category. ::lmao::

Still no sign of Instant Play for newly created games. It hasn't worked with any new game since early February. I left a message at the Help Desk last week. I suspect they have tons of them by now.

I hope this doesn't mean YoYo is planning to dump Instant Play. That's one feature of their site I REALLY like.

Yry upload it in a zip file. when I uploaded my last game Instant Play didn't work when I uploaded the game as a straight exe.

Guys, read my posts. The current problem has nothing to do with the individual games. Instant Play hasn't worked for ANY new games since early February.

Check the "most recent" tab and see for yourself. It's been broken for 6 weeks.

It's misleading.

No it isn't.

If 11clock had anti-decompiled his game, he would now know it'd never work with instant play, error or none on YYG's side.

If he hasn't then he now knows that such a problem exists with anti-decompiled games, but ofc, this doesn't apply to his situation.

It's still misleading. If he had used the anti-decompiler and still wants instant play, he would probably end up making a version without the anti-decompiler on it, upload that, and then come back here and ask why we lied to him because it still doesn't work, ah, but we hadn't lied. We just told him the wrong answer.

If his game was anti-decompiled, and he wanted instant play, he has to make a version that isn't anti-decompiled, anyway.

It's misleading in the way I tell you town is that way *points down road*

You walk down it, and come to a cross roads. You walk down the wrong one, and end up saving a princess instead of getting to town.

You come back, angry at being mislead. You weren't mislead.

I don't know what you're talking about, but what TV said wouldn't solve his problem so it's meaningless information.
