That would open a new horizon to use gamemaker...
I'm impressed (to not say disappointed) I could not find yet any threads about that.
Developers, c'mon! Please! Who will buy that dream ???

EDIT:
Also,
This might fit under that. I'm not sure though. Please AVOID these kind of topics:
-Questions about porting Game Maker to other platforms, such as running GM games on a Nintendo DS, GM in Linux, or converting GML to Java.

the architecture is very different from a webcam.... we have hardware mechanisms (built in kinect) which makes faster the body recognition... don't be so pessimist my friend. =)
Even in a very simple 2d game (like a platform game) controlled by kinect would be very fun...
The link above is a good startpoint:
http://kinecthacks.net/
P.s> I am equally not sure about it is allowed talk about thia.... but I think there would be no problem... we are just talking about technology.
Game Maker wouldn't easily be able to do this, and if it could, it would lag too much. Have you seen any webcam games? they are too slow to be effective. With the Kinect, it would lag even more because it's more advanced technology.

First of all you will need to Download Faast(Flexible Action and Articulated Skeleton Toolkit) at
http://projects.ict.usc.edu/mxr/faast/
NOTE (You will also need the latest version of OpenNi unstable build for Windows which you can download at http://www.openni.or...latest-unstable ,Primesence Nite unstable build for windows which you can download at http://www.openni.or...latest-unstable and Kinect drivers at https://github.com/a...ee/unstable/Bin )
Once you have FAAST with everything installed learn how to use it by reading the parts : Skeleton Usage and Input Emulator Usage
Then your finished.
Use FAAST as a keyboard Emulator telling it if you do a certain movement it will press a key on the keyboard.
EXAMPLE : right_arm_forwards 18 key w
if i put my right arm forwards (18 inches away from my shoulder) then press key W
NOTE: (dont put the code in game maker put it in a .txt file and load it in FAAST)

Edit: my suggestion Works 100%
When I was testing there was No lag and No Errors Either.
Now all we have to do is hope Game Maker will soon have FAAST built in.

No. Controller support is enough, and few people use it. Kinect support would be even less used, since it takes a special type of game to be effective.all we have to do is hope Game Maker will soon have FAAST built in

It seems that microsoft itself is going to be releasing an SDK just for us developers. It shouldn't be too long before we see dlls to wrap it up for Game Maker. As awesome as the idea is, it is too specialized for general usage. But it is still cool.

The Kinect only provides you with the webcam image and the depths of certain points in front of the Kinect. Processing that data is up to you.
