Graphic wise the game looks good, just a few things though:

- The feet of the player don't move naturally, sometimes they randomly turn around ?
- The game isn't really challenging, maybe add different zombie types or change the enemies from zombies to mutated humans or something.
- I sometimes was stuck in things like tables or walls.

I really suggest you change the enemies in the game, most, if not almost all people on the GMC don't want 'another' top down zombie shooter.
Anyway I liked the shadows and the graphics weren't bad.

Yeah thanks Dyl, for what it's worth...

I know people are sick of "ANOTHER... TDZS GAME"... But I think proving that wrong and actually making a good one, maybe they will enjoy it more.
It IS MY FIRST GAME... Well, at least that I'm going to finish.

This is Alpha, which means Beta will have all the awesome, natural legs, special infected, story, goals and whatever else that aren't in it right now.
And yes, I know about all the glitches and bugs, so don't bother telling me how bad the nades don't work or the tables eat you or the walls try to steal your money. xD
This is like a Debug Test Demo... Just, as the Title, SubForum, Original Post suggest, it's a work in progress...

Thanks for having a go though, and everything is going to be "better" and "Revamped" sooner or later.
I know how much people are sick of tdzs games, I just thought halfway through making this game... "Jimmynator made "Zombies", and how many people liked that... "thing"?"...
i think if similar games get a fair bit of popularity something like my DB will get as much maybe more if I'm lucky enough.

Thanks for the input, glad someone decided to take the time and actually read something of mine. xD
Just hope everything goes well from now on.

You do know that the WIP forum is for posting games that still need work, seeing as you post that here I thought you'd like to get bugs and stuff so sorry I said that ... :snitch:

Please dont say things like "dont bother telling me about bugs" because, most likely, you do not know all of the bugs and gliches in your game, and if somone stubles upon one they should post it, weather you know about it or not.

Couldnt play the game because it failed to run it

@King Chubbles, You'd be surprised, and it is not most likely, I know all the bugs trust me.
Once Beta comes out I will release a Public Demo, and the bugs will be gone,a nd maybe new unkown bugs will be around then, so yeah, at the moment I pretty much know them all.
If the game fails to run then it's your System, I've tested this on about 10 different PCs.

@Dylan93: Nah man that's cool, it still does need work, I'm just moving it into Beta phase so I'll keep you posted when I make a release. :)

Just Awesome ::lmao::

Though it's an Alpha version, it's still good enough to play :)

Although I have some suggestions:
  • Increase Sight
  • Decrease Shadow-Hardness

Very well done :)

Thanks Reflux! :D
I, personally can't wait until I release the Beta.
It's proving slow, not because it's hard work, it's just boring fixing old stuff.

Thanks a lot guys! :D

Well then, there goes my entire post.

Well ill show you then:
Stuck... well i got stuck almost everywhere... there was a health pack here so it forced me in:
Posted Image

I found this amusing:
Posted Image

Im just curious how im supposed to get this:
Posted Image

And lastly, why is there a zombie outside the room?
Posted Image

At this point i got bored and quit.

Things to improve... other then fix all the obvious bugs...:
I found the music to loud in relation to the other sounds.
The light is... a circle? A CIRCLE? Why is it not more... torch shape... more veiw distance at front and less at the back!
Shooting was painfully annoying as it does not shoot towards to crosshair. Since the gun is off centered from the player and the crosshair is centered... its just plain annoying. Not to add to the confusion that if you shoot up, it shoots directly at the crosshair... shoting to the sides is and down is completely out.
Make the game more interesting.
More weapons... maybe there are more... but by the time i was completly bored with the game i found the shotgun... which at that stage it was too late.
Different zombie types. Its been mention... but its needed to make it more interesting. (yes i can see some look different... but they act the same).
Different mode types (although i believe thats planned)

Fix the bugs and you'll have yourself an engine. Add the improvements i suggested and you might have a game!

Here we go guys, here are some screenshots of Final Alpha:
(Link) ScreenShots on ImageShack.

This is the last update I'm typing up before I release Beta really soon!
I'm hoping quite a few people will stick around from testing Alpha! :D
And I'm also hoping a few new people will come along to check it out.

So anyway, for those, ages ago, who played Alpha DeadBase v0.4...
I recently dug up an old EXE and thought I would show oyu guys some "DeadBase Alpha Classic" "DEADBASIC" style gameplay.
You can find thise version here: DeadBase Classic v0-4

Keep a keen eye on this Topic for Beta being released really soon! :D

Anyway.
Hope you enjoy it, and, see ya round! :)
