Cintourmind

Explore a trippy monochrome first-person universe, gathering the shattered remnants of somebody's broken mind. Proper vision cannot be achieved so instead, simulated circles contort jaggedly around walls, floors, obstacles and pieces of mind.

All feedback welcomed (Cintourmind is very experimental so I really don't mind if you didn't like it!). Thanks :)

An interesting experience, as ever, Nal! Canīt say I enjoyed it though... itīs pretty sick-making and head-ache inducing, and I really couldnīt play for more than a couple of minutes! In my opinion what would make it more playable and less seizure-inducing would be to ditch the black and white and go with shades, like a dark and light gray or a dark and light green or something. The black and white monochrome is just eye-shattering...

Music's cool 'though...

I must say this had quite an impact on me. My wife found me slumped over the keyboard, so she called the paramedics. I hope our health insurance covers game-induced seizures.

:P just kidding, but still. What's the player supposed to do? Is there a point, other than the trippy graphics?

chance: The story behind it is "An insane man's mind has been broken into twenty pieces. Get them back"

I found all 20 pieces in 20 minutes, not too difficult. I hardly even got a headache. Does that make me insane? o.o Also, it would be cool if after the game you saw a replay of yourself only with normal graphics.

You're a better man/woman than me :P. Not only couldn't I find any pieces, but I wouldn't know how to "get them back", if I found them.

Guess I better have another try at it.

Wooh, beat it. I searched for that last piece for a while. Some of them are well-hidden.
The thought of a VERY SIMPLE GOAL, MADE HARD BY CRAZY GRAPHICS does not sound appealing, and I think many would be turned off. But I think it shouldn't be thought of like that. For me, the goal was OVERCOMING the crazy graphics, and trying to make sense of the psychedelic nodal lines.
So I definitely enjoyed this game. Mainly for being different, and for introducing a completely new style of gameplay, which is visualizing your environment. Actually, something very similar was done in 2D, here.
I thank you for giving me such a unique, unforgettable and amazing experience.
