If you are doing these examples hoping that you will get fame and fortune then you are going to be disappointed! Some of my examples have 1000+ downloads but only 20 or so replies! People here are notoriously lazy/lax about this...

Oohh ... I only knew about it ... Thanks for the INFO. Now I'll be more patient and not to expect the existence of a reply.

While browsing around the tutorials and examples looking for a menu script, this is the easiest one I've found. It's easily customizable and the code is so so simple! It's now part of my main menu ::lmao::

It's also compatible with Game Maker 5 would you believe it (I have to use GM5 because it's the only one that works at school (it's like they've disabled DirectX or something...))

5/5 for it's simplicity and ease of use :)

http://gamejolt.com/profile/tombofry/13602/ - Working on a top down zombie shooter. Yes, very clichéd, but I'm writing a novel length story line for it. Watch out!
(Keep in mind that it only has an Arcade Mode at the moment, like any other generic zombie shooter)
@TomboFry Hey, why not follow me on Twitter? I don't use it that often, and you can see my ugly face, but hey...

A little people comment after download :P . It is a simple example, easy to use, but you should add more a lot of things to it become more usable.Example:
Onmouseover image change, clicking, some effects and etc.

And I for one am almost a noob. But it does it's job. Also, since it has so little code, it's bound to make your game as speedy as possible. Anyway, who wants menu that does too much...? All you really need is something like New Game, Load Game, Help/Instructions, Options, Exit. Nothing too fancy (but I suppose it depends on what sort of game you're making...) It's perfectly fine for what I need.

I was messing around with some of the code and I've made it look better than what it was when I downloaded it. You could add sound to it, yes you could add an "on mouse over" sprite change, you could add whatever you wanted to it. So it's basically like a small template you can include into a game and then customize it to your hearts content. Nothing really bad about it (if you think about it).

It's good to see examples for menu's but this is way to simple.

RPG Menus are very easy once you know cursor and menu_item theory.

TomboFry
thank you ... It is designed specifically for people who are beginners in the field of game maker.
lbweb151
Okay .... Later I will make the effects or the like. But first I must complete several tasks before making something like that.
Davve
Yeah...I know that you were the master but do not insult other people's work.

Thank you for defending myself.
MysticTrunks
You are very correct.

THANKS FOR ALL

Very nice for GM beginners; I'd say doing everything in one or two events could ultimately be more manageable, though. That being said, I'm not really sure about the efficiency between the two methods.

I'm a huge noob when it comes to writing codes (I usually use Drag n' drop).
So figuring out how to do this was hard for me.
Thanks for helping me out!
I will defiantly use this in my game invertigo.
I'll credit you under "special thanks!" ;)
