And I for one am almost a noob. But it does it's job. Also, since it has so little code, it's bound to make your game as speedy as possible. Anyway, who wants menu that does too much...? All you really need is something like New Game, Load Game, Help/Instructions, Options, Exit. Nothing too fancy (but I suppose it depends on what sort of game you're making...) It's perfectly fine for what I need.
I was messing around with some of the code and I've made it look better than what it was when I downloaded it. You could add sound to it, yes you could add an "on mouse over" sprite change, you could add whatever you wanted to it. So it's basically like a small template you can include into a game and then customize it to your hearts content. Nothing really bad about it (if you think about it).
