Well, that all all depends on whether you think Hangman is boring or not. I've tried to add my own twist to the game so it's not quite the same. Thankyou for your comment.

If anyone has played hangman more than twenty times, they'll find it boring. You claim you've added your own twist but the fact is you haven't; the game is almost exactly the same as the original hangman. If you'd tried your own slate on the game or just made it a bit different, it probably wouldn't be as boring.

But this is not, it may be based on hangman, but the graphics and game play make this much more.

The gameplay extends that of hangman in its most basic form because:
- there is a storyline
- the use of magic letters esentially giving you extra guesses
- you can choose your own topic per word
- the theme/graphics of the game are completely different. For example the stickman character isn't being hanged. He is instead walking the plank,
- you advance through 10 different pirate style zones, with progressively harder levels.

• The storyline has absolutely no effect on the pure gameplay.
• Giving an extra guess is a very, very minimal extension; it's almost the same as just giving less guesses overall, which this game does. The number of guesses does not effect the prime gameplay at all.
• I've never played a game of hangman where there hasn't been some kind of associated theme. Of course, this does extend upon the most basic form on hangman in a sense but I would always assume some theme in a game of hangman. If you were referring to the fact that the player has a choice of theme, then I can say that this doesn't affect the pure gameplay. At the end of the day, you're guessing a word, whatever theme it may be.
• The graphics have absolutely no effect on the gameplay in this game.
• The difference in zones have no effect other than perhaps a varying number of guesses allowed (which I have referred to previously). And how can you judge how hard a word is to guess? Are harder words longer or shorter? Do they have fewer same letters? Do they contain less frequent letters? I'd say it would be very difficult to claim a progressive rise in difficulty in a game of hangman.
