Trippy Tiles Deluxe

Download App (.zip)
File Size: 10.6 MB

Description
Trippy Tiles Deluxe is a collection of 4 tile-based puzzle games with a common theme
Featuring tight controls, multiple high scores, and two original songs.

UPDATES:
Version 1.4, 8/19/2010
-Added Keyboard Control to all 4 games, uses arrow keys and spacebar.
-Fixed a minor bug in Shift'em
-Highscore display now highlights your current score, so you can easily see where you placed.

you may need to delete your save file from v1.3 for the keyboard controls to work (ttd.sav)

So, here are the games!

Slide'em: The traditional tile sliding puzzle, commonly known as "15". Mix it up and put the numbers back in order. If you like '15', i believe this is the best (and trippiest) version of the classic puzzle on yoyogames.

Flip'em: Click on a tile to flip all tiles adjacent to it. Flip every tile to one solid color to win!

Shift'em: Shift the rows and columns around like a rubiks cube. Get them back into numerical order as fast as you can.

Twist'em: The greatest challenge of all. Twist groups of four tiles to get them back into numerical order.
If you solve this one, you have mastered the art of Trippy Tiles!

Each game features its own separate high score table. Scores are based on your time and your number of moves.
The game saves automatically each time you return to the game selection screen.

Thats it!

Great game dude, loved all four modes. Love the song, tooo.

Only one thing. I'm on a laptop, so controlling with the trackpad is a pain. Perhaps keyboard controls as an option too?

Hey, thanks for the comments and Good suggestion,
i forget that lots of mac users have a laptop with no mouse.

I went ahead and added keyboard controls to all four games.
Use the arrow keys to move the cursor and press space to move the tiles.

The controls are actually better than using a mouse in Shift'em

For a full description of keyboard controls look at the help file by clicking the '?' on the game selection screen. :D

Also, did you know there is alternate music? Click on the little speaker object on the bottom right corner of the game screen to change (or turn off) music.

Thanks for the effort, but none of the keyboard controls are working for me. :P

In Slide/Shift/Twist Em the keyboard cursor-square starts off screen and doesn't line up properly with the squares. The space bar and "x" key do not appear to have any effect. (Screen 1)

In Flip Em, there are TWO keyboard cursors, and either one of them flips when I press the space bar. One of the cursors isn't lined up properly. (Screen 2)

In fact, I can even get the cursor to show up in the main menu. (Screen 3)

that happens if you don't delete the old save file.

it should work fine after that. its called 'ttd.sav'

all of those problems you describe arise because the object that is responsible for keyboard control was persistent in the previous version, and it's not persistent in 1.4

EDIT: bugs described here have been fixed

Whoops, forgot to actually say how good the keyboard controls actually are.

I love the keyboard controls for each of the modes, easy to pick up, not complicated and doesn't hinder any kind of control compared to using the mouse.

Great game, this is the kind of thing I would buy as an iPhone app for $1-2

Hey, great game! I like the graphics a lot. I didn't notice any bugs or anything. Somebody said it would make a good iphone game, which I agree with. I don't usually play puzzle games, but I thought it was pretty fun.

Simple, not really original, but done quite well. I enjoyed the various game modes, I think the last one is my favorite. Good graphics, smooth and simple gameplay, and I liked the dynamic menu. Good stuff, will be fun to play in my spare time, or when avoiding homework. ;)

Thanks for playing!
A lot of love went into this game, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I think the last one is my favorite.

The last one is the only puzzle where I have yet to figure out the algorithms to solve. If you figure it out lemme know!
