I'm making a top-down space game, but I am terrible at drawing on any medium, so I need sprites. I will give credit if it's used, hopefully in the form of an in-game billboard or the end credits. It all depends.

These are the sprites I need:

animated sun
light fighter
heavy fighter
light frigate
heavy frigate
enemy ship

thanks in advance.

What size, style, etc.? Also some reference pictures never hurt.

Size should be limited to 40*40 for the fighters, and 60*60 for the cruisers, but other than that, there are really no limits on style. I also don't have any decent sprites to show, so I have no reference for styles.

I have this I made for practice a while back. You are welcome to use it. Any credit to Maurice Young please.

What ship do you think you will use it for? Just asking, because I may add another if i feel like doing more tonight and it would be good to know what direction to go.

Sorry for the lack of a reply, but if you still care, it's probably going to be the enemy ship.

No problem. I'm happy enough to make a few more, it's good practice. The only thing you should know is I may use any ones I particularly like in a portfolio, but won't give them to anyone else, unless you decide not to use them. How's this? If you need any changes made, let me know. Also if you have any particular ideas for a ship, because I'm kinda just making them up as I go.

Thanks, this will make a great light fighter. Now I need a heavy cruiser, so something kind of blocky and clumsy-looking. Thanks in advance!

I'm making a top-down space game

I love it when people say top down space game, or side scroller or whatever.

Cos in space there is no top, no gravity.... things can be at an angle at any time... you could have them coming towards the screen and it would still classify as top view to other objects. But i think people get your point. Good luck with the game!

Flopsy M: the red and gray you used for the other ship should be fine.

Can you make a space station? Preferably one with a screen, so I can put stuff on it. No red, just gray. Also, it should be bigger than the cruiser, but it doesn't have to be. Thanks in advance again!

Any more info about it? Got a shape in mind? How much bigger? And I guess the screen should just be blank- a block of colour? If you have a reference image, or a quick sketch of the shape you want, it's a bit easier for me.

The screen should be blank, I'll design that, but the main body should be kind of a cylinder. And it should be big enough so that the cruiser could potentially land on it. Altough, it doesn't have to be too big.

I've been thinking about this, and I'm really not sure how this should look. Could you please do a quick sketch in paint or something of the layout and shape you have in mind?

On second thought, just freeform it. I can't find a good example online and all of my attempts to freehand it looked terrible.
