I'm pleased to report that I forked the Alien Swarmz codebase since the Game Maker betas, which means that the final was ready for Game Maker for Mac launch day.

Alien Swarmz is a retro styled arcade game videogame. In Alien Swarmz, you are a space flyer. Along with other flyers, you have to defend Earth from a race of metal eating aliens with insect-like intelligence. You are the only one who is in the way of the Alien Swarms before they reach earth and eat it. Now on the Mac, Alien Swarmz is a great game for those who enjoy the old arcade style, and those who wish to blast some aliens. The aliens have a swarm intelligence, and it's up to you to defeat it.

The screenshot doesn't look very good, sorry! I suggest you change the name, "Alien Swarm" is an awesome game, and much better then this! It is free as well.

Sorry for no positive feedback...

Yup, the game doesn't seems to be promising...
Try to lower the size too, and find a better title and screenshot.

For the rest, keep up the work :snitch:

In windows the game is 1.5 Megs, I have no idea why the game got so fat on the Mac version. The actual .app is 40 megs, but I compressed the .dmg file. I'm really, really sorry, but I can't go any smaller than that.

Alien Swarm is a FPS. Swarmz is a space invaders-style retro shooter. I don't see the comparison here... :(

I really suggest you try this! It's not a graphics showcase but it is a fun casual game.

I'll add more screenshots. :)

Your game requires more variety of enemies and different design of waves. In each mode, the wave that is designed for it is always the same.

Otherwise, this is a good game and it has a bigger potential.

I came in to see what the MAC games are like. While I have no problem with the general quality of the game, I'm just wondering why the heck the game is so large. Are all gm4mac games like this.
