it's not bad but really needs more to it.
ladders are nice, as are grenades, although the bouncing is a little weird looking.
overall it's a decent engine but I don't plan on using it over it my own.

good luck, I hope to see improvements!

I commend you on cleaning up/simplifying the messy engine that I had a while ago (I actually need to tidy it up now - I've got a new version coming along and such) and making such an excellent FPS engine out of such a basic 2D thing. I didn't even think that I could make it into something like what you have done!

Heh, congratulations - I'm sure as you work on this that with each new version, it gets better and better :D

It's not a bad engine! A few things though...
-Moving seems slightly bouncy, but I believe it is because it is in such a small space.
-I don't like having to put in creation code, but I guess it beats making a million different objects.

I downloaded this engine yesterday and for a day I'm working on it... I've added e few things to it and i'm very ambitious about a FPS game now :) (Thanks to this engine)

But I could'nt acheve to load a 3d model enemy... Can some one just help me to load enemies with .gmmod extension... I would be so glad :)

(Im new to this forum and thats my first message... I worked on Game maker 4 and 5 many years ago now Im back :) )

Not bad, but your textures are not the same size as your models, at least according to my pc. The texture is placed in the center, and where there is no texture, there is just a solid space?

That wouldn't affect anything. As long as all textures are to the power of 2 (8x8, 16x6, 32x32, 64x64, 128x128, 512x512, ect) it should be fine. Try resizing them if they are not correctly stretched.

nice engine! , i'll point out a few things , the grenades are a little too bouncy , the collisions between the explosion and objects are a bit unrealistic other than that it's good.

The bouncing of the grenades was just to show bouncing, not to make them as accurate as possible, same with the crate propulsion.

Convert it to .Obj format with another program, then use marzipan or a script to change .obj to .gml or .gmmod or .d3d. im pretty sure .gmmod is only for model maker.

Also realized that you used a differnt wall for each direction the problem is if your facing the wrong way you can walk through a wall plus when you throw a grenade it bounces back at you ps dude where the sht did you ind this code or how did you make it top of the line

Can you break that sentence up? I'm having a hard time reading it.

This is very good, and runs very smooth I like it Posted Image I'd like to you combine this with Project K's collision system like I am doing in my game, it would make map's allot more dynamic and I think easier to make, it would make this a pretty bad *** fps engine for GM, if you ask me.

I'm actually already doing that with p3dc :P
I'm creating a nice little shooter game called Global Anarchy 3

I didn't choose p3dc over project k because of functionality; I couldn't figure out how to make the player collisions non-spherical in that thing :P!

Ohhh so your the guy making that!!! I had no idea, you might have a run for your money when I start my open source Global Operations clone, it was a FPS from early 2000's that didn't reach much success Posted Image

Edit: Wait a second, can't believe im that stupid, were you inspired by Global Operations? Do you know the game I am talking about? It's basically a spinoff using the Counter Strike source...

I've actually never heard of Global Operations...
I did, however get the counterstrike game CS:GO when it first came out (however, our name Global Anarchy: Denied Operations, wasn't based on it) :P

What a coincidence.
