I don't mean to double-post, nor to bump a 4-month-old topic, but I have another issue :lol: .

I no longer have a problem receiving content. But whenever I try to use the EtXmlParse() function, I get a fatal "Unexpected Error" message.

The contents of the buffer are this:

<?xml version="1.0"?><words><w p="adjective" r="syn">anserine</w><w p="adjective" r="syn">dopy</w><w p="adjective" r="syn">dopey</w><w p="adjective" r="syn">goosey</w><w p="adjective" r="syn">goosy</w><w p="adjective" r="syn">gooselike</w><w p="adjective" r="syn">jerky</w><w p="adjective" r="ant">wise</w><w p="adjective" r="rel">ill-advised</w><w p="adjective" r="rel">impolitic</w><w p="adjective" r="rel">imprudent</w><w p="adjective" r="rel">inadvisable</w><w p="adjective" r="rel">unadvisable</w><w p="adjective" r="rel">unadvised</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">absurd</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">asinine</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">cockamamie</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">cockamamy</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">cockeyed</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">derisory</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">fatuous</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">fond</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">goofy</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">harebrained</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">idiotic</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">ill-conceived</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">inane</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">insane</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">laughable</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">ludicrous</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">mad</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">mindless</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">misguided</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">nonsensical</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">preposterous</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">rattlebrained</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">rattlepated</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">ridiculous</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">sappy</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">scatterbrained</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">scatty</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">silly</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">stupid</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">unwise</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">vacuous</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">wacky</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">whacky</w><w p="adjective" r="sim">zany</w></words>

I realize the tags are not spaced out, but that's how the third-party server sends its responses back.

When I try to parse that, the program just crashes with an unexpected error. And it's narrowed down to just the line where I call EtXmlParse(buffer).

Any help with this?

*EDIT* And I just tried stripping off the initial <?xml?> tag, and it still crashes upon parsing.

I am interested in this system. I would like to know, what code do I need to put in so that I can use Ether to upload a file to a particular website, or email address, and have it download said file, either manually or automatically for both uploading and downloading. Can someone please help me? It would be greatly appreciated.

Uploading files to a website or email address can be considered one of the "no no" things on the GMC. It falls underneath these guidelines:

* File management programs
* Applications that use or access email, chat networks (eg. AIM, MSN, IRC), or forums

You can see the full list of programs not allowed on the GMC here: http://gmc.yoyogames...howtopic=154916

In my opinion, learning how to program network applications will give you the knowledge to do it yourself, there are tutorials in my signature, and google for the rest.

Every time I use EtLibraryLoad() in GM 8.1 I get a message: "Cannot initialize GMapi module!".

Although the dll still works, I would like to get rid of this message.

Can you fix this, PsichiX?
