Buzzer DLL - V1.0

Allows the use of the system buzzer to be used in a game

Download Link:

Download Beep.zip
Download Beep.7z

File List
BEEP.EXE - An Executable of the example that can be tried by people with the lite version of game maker
BEEP.GMK - An example by me that shows the uses of the DLL
BEEP.DLL - The DLL which can be used on GM6.1 and lower
BEEP.GEX - The Extension which can be used on GM 7.0 and up
BEEP.ASM - The DLL source file
BEEP.GED - The source of the Extension
BEEP.GML - The scripts that can be used for the DLL

Please Note: I am not the creator of this DLL. The source was made by score_under and all credit must be given to him. I only assembled the code, created the example/extensions and posted it here. I have of course asked for his permission to upload it. The original topic where I asked for this DLL can be viewed here: Link

Warning: I have been advised that some sites like stopbadware.org try to stop applications that use the buzzer too much. It is advisable to add a button to mute the buzzer (This was advised by jobro)

Warning: This DLL has been made with no warranty whatsoever.

Please tell me and score_under what you think of the DLL and if it has/will come in use to you.

Thank you for trying the DLL out.

To begin with the program sets the buzzer's frequency at a frequency that cannot be played/heard. Please press the up and down keys too change the frequency and the w and s keys to change the duration. The only job of the space key is to play the note again

And to those who don't know:
f=440*power(2,n/12);
Converts n (note, starting from A6, +1 = +1 semitone) to a frequency.
C5 = -9
C#5 = -8
D5 = -7
D#5 = -6
E5 = -5
F5 = -4
F#5 = -3
G5 = -2
G#5 = -1
A6 = 0
A#6 = 1
B6 = 2
C6 = 3
+12 = +1 octave

Try modifying the example, see how different it sounds if you change frequency to note :lol:
