You know, if GM:Studio doesn't attract Indie and professional developers, success stories like this certainly will.I sold a fps to a friend in 7th grade for $20 and then I put the game up online the next day for free

I've made some money from people playing games at my school.
At my school everyone has a laptop given to them, so everyone is usually playing my games.
Most people play them because they are free, (I get money through AdFly) and because my website isn't blocked, therefore anyone can access it easily, and play it.
At my grade almost everyone has played my game, in fact a week ago i got 1 cent from downloads in a time period of about 3 hours.

I find it hard to believe that you began developing a video game, let alone a shooter game, at the age of seven.

Well I was gonna sell a game as a fundraiser for the senior trip, but kinda late for that one it never got finished.
Though people seemed a lot more interested in my game that had characters inplemented in it that went to the school. I used the cheesy 3D replica of my school for the game's actual environment. That got some people's interest as well. I think the only reason why they were interested was because it was a game the could relate to to some degree. So suggest making something that really clicks with your target audiance.

Me to I hate when people copy's me and everything. This is not about selling at school. But look at this.
So you can make a little garage sale for your games. You sell them on cd's for like $5 or the price of your choice. Mabye people will want to do the samething. But people that goes to your garage sale might not be in your school.
(I don't know for you guys but half the people in my grade can't use my friends website : Here ) Plus How will people know that you used game maker. They might end up trying to learn c++ but then quites. My self I would not sell my games(yet) because before selling games they need to have a certain quality.
I'm not sure if it is illigal to sell things at school(Yes in elementry) But im not sure for middle and high. School might even ecourage you in the perpose of showing you how to do marketing, if you want to do that when you older. We never now.
Sicnar(btw im 13 wich is harder to be taken seriously when it comes to this.)
thank you for reading.
