Projects or discussions in these categories ARE NOT ALLOWED anywhere on the GMC:

:)

  • Game Name: Attack of the Jelly
  • Category: Arcade
  • File Size: 4.81 MB
  • GM Version: GM8
  • Vista Compatible: yes
  • Screen Resolution: 800 x600

What a lovely day it is in your kitchen! :P
However, your boxes of jelly have risen up against you.
Click on them to destroy them.
But that's not all...
Soon they begin to form into jelly molds, and become much more powerful!
These take multiple hits to destroy!
After facing the hordes, the extreme challenge arrives!
THE JELLY BOSS!!! :)
Loaded with massive health, and the ability to spawn more jelly molds, this is one tough jelly.
Just keep clicking and you'll eventually beat the jelly uprising. :P
But be warned, the jelly are destroying your kitchen!
Fortunately, when you destroy the jelly, your kitchen is recovered.
Just don't click on the kitchen, or you'll be destroying your own kitchen!

My best score was 103 :)

Also what's with the whole "no games with jelly" rule thing? Eh?

I laughed so hard when a big box of Jello popped up. I was stunned, and therefore lost my first round.
If you're seriously going to continue with this, I recommend making it so you lose more life. The way I was clicking, I'd never lose :)

Yes, but there is a challenge in having the patience to click forever to get a high score, as well as the ability to not accidentally click outside of the window.

Did someone seriously just report this game's topic? What, are they mad because it's strawberry jelly, and not grape? Someone takes the rules seriously.

It was one of my friends actually.
We're testing to see whether or not the mods take that rule seriously.

You actually violated the rules.

Programs about jelly, unless they're about grape jelly -- which is OK.

if (JELLY) and not (GRAPE JELLY) then Halt(1);
Let's see if someone will delete the topic.

That's probably higher than ammount of clicks, used to create this game ;)

You can tell when your game is successful when people put more effort into playing it, than you did into making it.

Now the game features a jelly meter.
Fill it by destroying boxes to create a powerful miniboss.

There's also explosions now when you destroy enemies!

That's rather stupid. Why would anyone delete this topic?

@petenka: This may have started out as an "inside joke", but you've added some good features and put some effort into it. I hope you'll keep adding new features and different kinds of challenges. Maybe you'll have a hit game here. :(

Because it violates one of the "Projects that are not allowed ANYWHERE on the GMC."

..I think, the rules may have been edited by someone (you?) again to remove that.

EDIT: Nope, still there in the rules.

I'm glad the gmc staff support my game :)

Here is what I am planning for this game...
Two modes: Survival, and campaign
Campaign will take you through several areas as you fight against the jelly attacks, and defeat each level's boss!
As you progress, more types of jelly will be introduced!
After you beat each level you can play that level in survival mode.
In survival mode, you play a level for as long as possible, gaining as much score as possible.
Survival mode scores will be posted to an online highscore system.
I will also be adding jiggling to the jelly to add to the jelly effect.
Plus, after you beat the final boss, there will be a special secret level...
If anybody wants to, I'd love to have some custom made jelly sprites, or backgrounds.
The only requirement is that they be vector or real (sorry pixelers).
PM me if you want to discuss making some graphics for me.

Jelly crystals are way better than jelly, jelly crystals make you go hyper and run in circles causing the floor to catch fire

@Mailas
You have jelly on your toast cause you're weird, then again all programmers are weird... being a programmer and not being weird would be like a GM game without any rooms or... c++ on windows without #include <windows.h> lol

@KC LC
This topic would get deleted because in some ancient law it is said that all forum mods and admin are evil and will do all they can to be horrible to the users so that the users hate them... or at least that is what I have gathered from users abusing mods, however very rarely I see mods abuse users.... ironic....

UPDATE

Well guys, I’ve decided to add a bit of a plot to it, and really make it into more of a game, than just some basic joke.
I’ve added a ton of new features such as music, and moving jelly!
I’ve also added, the JELLY BOSS!!!
So, go try it out and experience the sensation of being overwhelmed by jelly!

Hey Pete, I got some ideas for ya if ya wanna:
  • Add upgrades.
  • Updrade idea: have cursor auto shoot at nearby jellies
  • UI: Blow up all Jellies on screen
  • UI: have this giant fish come in and eat up the jellies
  • UI: get a little guy to go around and randomly shoot
  • Be able to drag jelly boxes and crash them into other boxes, and bounce them around XD, and the crash will also lower the box's health teehee
