Wow, definitely the most stylish game I've seen for the competition! Was very fun and smooth the music was cool and the visual effects were awesome! I can't wait to see more weapons and such :D

Very nice! I really liked the music, and the graphics were cool. The only thing I didn't like was that you can't jump as high with some weapons, so I would get stuck in the bottom part of the level a lot of times.

This game was great in all aspects, and the graphic style was perfect for the game. Plus it was a lot of fun.

The next thing I'm about to say might seem a little strange but.

The music was great- it had a high tempo, had a lot of you know... adrenaline. BUT I don't think it fit in, at least I don't think the lead instrument fit in. Like the synth saw thing. I feel like... It didn't make the game worse but with "fitting" music it could make the game that much better.

game looks awesome,

cept i couldnt play correctly because the game liked to become unresponsive at times(music would skip parts and repeat, keyboard events wouldnt work right, fps would drop to 30 yet the game appeared fast)

There's a very good chance the chainsaw won't make it into the final version of the first level, so the level it's featured in will be more lower-jump-height friendly.

Thanks for the feedback, humans.

Same problem. I don't think it's my computer though, ive never had this problem with any other games that even have a warning about lag :S

I've just uploaded a fixed version that solves the major speed issues some of you have experienced. We also happily welcome aboard a new composer to the team, the inestimable Lil Vypa!

I'm afraid I'm a little short on time right now and can't respond to you all individually, but know that Andrew and I have been reading your posts avidly and we seriously appreciate the time you've taken to play and comment. We'll be keeping your criticisms in mind as we continue our work. Thank you!

Yeah, I randomly teleported, too. Wierd...also, when you die and respawn, you should be invulnerable for a bit. One of the fat guys got me while the view was still moving over. And whyyyy are you so low down on the view! You can't see ANYTHING below you. The player should be just below halfway, I think.

The good stuff - it plays pretty well, the graphics are excellent, the sounds are great at the game would definitely be at home on a handheld. It needs more weapons and enemies, though. Anyway, keep it up. This is freakishly good.

I'm aware of what causes that, so it should be fixed by the next release.

We haven't mentioned this anywhere, but if you hold down for a short time, the view shifts down so you can see below you.

Yes, I know the view shifts down. But you need to ALWAYS see more, because if you jump down to kick some ass, you get smashed by guys you can't see.

Update: We've fixed a lot of the issues people have had so far, and we've also added a few nice surprises. We may or may not have a new demo out sometime soon. We're very busy young men.

BUMP BUMP - OH NO ITS THE GIANT BUMP MONSTER.

It's a fun game so far, a new demo would be nice though :)

I have two words, and one of them would be censored on these boards. The other one is "YEAH!"

I, like others, have had the random teleport-thing but I guess you've fixed that by now. It's too bad adding co-op would violate the whole 5-button rule of Comp5 (unless... it was over the net?) because that'd make the game twice as kickass.

would be hard to run a decent mplay game without external resources(like a dll)

I am dumb and forgot that rule. Native mplay could possibly be okay with just two people though?
