Additional Info

This tutorial about platform car physics was created by icuurd12b42 and me (orange08).
I hope it helps you in your quest to make a racing game :)

THE THIRD VERSION: Ok... here's what the third version is for:
When you have solid ground objects it will cause the car to drive jerky and messed up, so it wont drive. Here is how I fixed it in the third version.. I created a second ground object that is un-solid for each ground piece (the flat ground, and both of the slopes) So In the Create Event of the solid ground objects I have them create the matching shaped un-solid ground object. (Just download if you cant understand what I'm saying)

Please give credit to icuurd and orange08 if used!

Thanks...

Er... unrealistic? You must be talking about the slopes... well... the physics will work on any slopes you have.

I have no idea what happened to cause that :snitch:
Maybe the fact that you have vista?? I made the tut using xp.

I love it! If you download the file, dont close the folder until you have saved it into a perament place.

That is if you close the page, where you downloaded it...

If you want to use that, Press "Save As" and then you can play/view it.

up - gas
dow - gas backwards
L and r - Leaning

Glad to see this tut is going to some use! (It appears you are making a game with it)
And yes... I would be able to do that. I'll make another update when I get some time =)

No, I just make sprites right away so I don't forget to change them later if I do something with it.
I I forgot to mention spacebar = flip car direction.

@luga
I'll be sure to make a new example for you as soon as possible.

@Robert3Dg
Thank you! (icuurd did most of the work though... I must admit)
