Sword Of Dimensions is a platform game with elements of environmental puzzle. You control lone traveler who accidentally finds a way to strange world with no sunlight. Grab your sword and prepare for long journey. Use sword to get rid of hostile enemies or use shield to withstand their attacks. Break walls and crates, find way to exit. Prepare to travel around rooms using special sword abilities (will be unlocked as you advance into game). To travel from one room to another you have to solve nogravity puzzles. First part of game will have over 15 rooms and some boss rooms.

This game looks really nice and is polished well, except how do you get past the first door? :)

If you can't pass the door - break walls!
Just find weak spot and use your sword.

Yeah it took me awhile to find that first breakable wall. Then I went to the second room and dropped down and hit the lever but I couldn't get out of there.

Oh and you might want to make it so you can move and slash, eventually.

Room 3:

If you take the top way, instead of breaking through the walls to get below...When you get down there another way, if you jump, near the breakable bricks, you get lodged there, which also means the bat eats you!

I will have a screenshot soon, since I have a very confusing sentence above.

Sorry for JPEG.

graphics are great. Jumping animation would be nice though.
The first level was rather tough though.
Try to enlighten us and explain exactly what we're looking for.
keep it up!

And there I was gonna congratulate you on great art.. but apparently it's all ripped, so at least congratulations on having good taste in ripped art: )
The collision in the game feels very floaty - I get a constant "I hope I don't get stuck" feeling when navigating tricky room layout. The puzzle in the first room were OK, if mostly linear (I know, it's the first room, so - that's actually good I guess). When I got to the green portal and jumped through it - I got bounced back by some star-thingy. I went back in, and this time as I got bounced back - my character got stuck in a wall, so I had to exit. It was absolutely
unclear what to do at that point.

I still thinking where to put information about actions in Dimension Rooms.
When you bounce from any object in this room quickly press direction key to change your direction. You have near 2 seconds to do this. Your goal is to reach "white" exit.

About room3 problem Kristallify talks:
I will put talking skull here to warn player to clear his path in the beginning of this room.

Most people will go down first on that room, I just like to challenge myself.

Still I am very curious about:
  • Which features of game you like/dislike?
  • Where are you now (which room), stuck here or quit it?

Will try it out (I'm on another computer).
By the way, didn't you rip a lot of the graphics from "JAZZ JACKRABBIT 2"?

Well, this is good, but could do with some improvement.
The graphics are great, nothing wrong with them

But...:

Make the player jump a bit higher

Make the player have a jumping animation when he jumps

The first level is really hard to get past, after breaking the walls, going through the tunnel, breaking the floor with the sword, and switching the chain, what are you supposed to do?

This game has potential, keep it up!

Anyone tried to get past room 4 ?
This room is quite tricky and large.
I am thinking to reduce its size.

From version 0.08b there is 1 minute time restriction when saving game.

Saving was replaced with checkpoints.
