I've just posted the first trailer of 'Pirate Boat Voyage', and a playable demo of a title under development over at RoflGames.com
Demo: "Pirate Boat Voyage"(yoyogames)
Trailer: "Pirate Boat Voyage"(youtube)

Demo Controls
- Use your mouse to aim cannon.
- Shoot holding 'Space' or 'Left-Mouse Button'. Remember! Cannonballs are heavy and are affected by gravity, 100% Accuracy is not guaranteed.
The Cannon is turned golden when the player picks up Golden Treasures.
- Use Golden Cannon with 'Right-Mouse Button', this unleashes an area-attack.
- Tips: Hitting areas where the Squid's arm is not hurt, delivers double damage to his arm.
The game revolves around a pirate and his crew, which starts out in the litte boat you see in the trailer. I've choosen to call the Captain, "Capt'n Wlinch"
GAME DEVELOPMENT
Towards the end of the game, I've been planning to increase the size of the ship, to a REAL pirate's dream
The plan is to start the player out with a very small jolly boat, with no flag and no crew. The player will have to make his way from island to island in a tropical part of the world like Carribean(original? No, not much), in hunt for a bigger crew and a bigger boat/ship, and eventually create a custom flag, maybe from a .bmp file editor(or a some predefined sprites).
STORY / NARRATIVE
Most of my games on Roflgames have been lacking emphasis on story, and this time around I want each character/member of the crew to have a relatively deep back-story. I want to tell the story through dialogue and cutscenes.
As you can see from the trailer, I've added one enemy this far, the 'Mighty Squid', and I'm sketching up more enemies and challanges as I go.
If you've got any suggestions or feedback on the idea or the progress thus far, post it down
- Update Changes -
+ Automatic Shooting has been added, hold space or mouse-button to shoot(this was added to reduce tapping amount)
*I'll keep this post updated*
