Yahoo! Replies :P

I think colors is a great idea! I've got a head full of features I want to add into a new version, and that's on it for sure. Maybe even loading a picture and converting it to a domino chain...

When you ask where you can get the Newton physics dll, do you mean:
GMNewton for game maker: http://gmc.yoyogames...howtopic=375858
Library for use in other programming languages: Newton Game Dynamics home

Please respond with any questions, comments, or suggestions!
Thanks,

this is incredible. the physics are fantastic and the sound makes it so much more realistic. colour switching would be an interesting addition, as the white dominos can be a bit hard to see against the table. this makes me want to make another 3d game just to try out GMNewton.

One thing that i think is a bit strange is how the dominoes sometimes knock themselves over...i mean...they just tip over by their selves...
Also, I noticed that when the dominoes are knocked over they shake a little, get what i mean?
Other than that, its pretty darn neat :)
One thing i recommend you implement is altering the Z value of the dominoes and being able to set them up seperateley

You should add hills and bridges in future versions.

Thanks
I think the random falling and shaking can be fixed... I'll see.
If I get time to make another version I will add bridges, colors, and maybe individual set-up.

Yey dominos ^_^. You should make a puzzle game out of it where you have to collect/go through certain points on the table then knock down a tower. If you manage to knock down the tower without disturbing special dominos on the side, you earn points, otherwise you lose points for hitting the special blocks.

Great job!

This is way too addicting... :D

And I support the tower idea. Then I'd never get anything done. LOL

Lovely game!

I didn't notice any shaking/twitching; did you fix it then?

Being able to add other objects and/or rotate the dominoes would be cool, but it would ruin the lovely clean interface ;) Decisions, decisions...

Also, GMNewton always causes lag on my computer. But that's to be expected, really. I don't know how one can efficiently simulate 100-odd rigid bodies in 3D, or even if it's possible to be much more efficient than you did. I seriously doubt it.

My point is: awesome game!!

PS:(Colours! That was what I was going to say! Coloured dominoes!)

Thanks :)

If I can somehow get ahead of my school I'll work on updating this with a couple stairs/towers and colors.
I change anything to fix the shaking. I think it is related to the speed of the computer - the timestep updating is still dependant on the graphics framerate.

Loaf, can I have the source code for what you just said please please pleasseeee~!
[/offtopic]

That was too much fun, but the glitchiness of them knocking themselves over sometimes was kinda annoying and the low FPS when there is lots of dominoes

I honestly didn't think a game in the simulation category would be good but that was really realistic and fun!

"We want poop" http://www.poopootower.wordpress.com <- enter this site for CRAZYNESS and more POOPIE! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!   :bunny:  :o  :medieval:  :pickle:

I'm a beginner. I know the gravity thingys and platform. I seldom make a topic if the topic is not found what my problem is (because, Google, you know.)

My only weakness is making 3D game.

And also, I use GM Studio and GM8 (if GM Studio gives me weird stuff).
