Greetings fellow gamers! My promotional trip to GDC 2010 in San Fran, is closing in, and I've decided to give some of my games a little polish before going to meet the industry first-hand. I'm currently hard at work with Owlboy, readying it up for the Independent Games Festival. Meanwhile, I'd like to introduce you to another gaming project of mine,

Action & Food
Dungeon Chaos is a 2D Action-Rpg Shooter, with level design similar to that of ye'olde Bubble-Bobble. You'll defeat bosses, gain upgrades, and eat delicious cousine as you go explore the dungeon.

Equipment & Spells
You'll pick up Laser-Guns, Granades, Jetpacks and Magical Spells as you go. There are several small side-quests which boost your powers when completed, and you'll end up with a super-strong character pretty quickly.

...A little help from your friends
You can play Co-op with a friend at your side. You'll gain twice the fire-power, which may be needed for some of the stages and bosses. If not, you're in for a grind.

Very slick. I've played up to and including the first boss so far and it's really good.

Just as a random comment, sounds for the bullets might be nice.

Very good game. Played all the way through. A little annoying that some things are different resos (character is smaller than food but bigger than explosions...)

I'll take a look/listen to the sound effects, and search the web for some bullet effects.

Update will be here soon, with new content, and maybe some new sound effects:)
Keep checkin;)

Nice going! New levels will be added for a little longer game-play experience, and also in the next update I will add quests and unlocks:)
The food-pictures are really just to show better which food is choosen, it's not it's actual size:)

Explosions vary in size, as better granades have larger radius of explosions:)

- Update -
Dungeon Chaos has been updated with a few changes.

Changes:
+ Finalboss has been modified, giving him several forms, like any great finalboss should have!
+ Enhanced a number of small visuals
+ Added a new music track for the Final Boss Theme,
+ Added a cutscene after encounter with Finalboss.

Enjoy!

I'd love to play this game, however, I download at 8KB/sec and the download freezes at 30%. Could you please provide an alternative link?

Here is an alternate link on Yoyogames.com,
Dungeon Chaos on Yoyogames

It's never been slow before, I'll check it out and hopefully get it fixed.

A great game all-around. Really loved the incorporated cooking element. The enemies were well-designed and along with the leveling/skill buying system kept the game interesting. I was really curious the whole time while playing it what would the next area be.

Just a small critique - the smoke effect when the player changes direction doesn't really fit well with the rest of the beautiful pixel art in the game; perhaps change it to something like the flying robots', found in the first stages, death effect. The same applies to the frost ball. Also, the effect after eating a meal seems a bit too simple and non-fitting.

Otherwise, great job.
