Aw that's it? I was totally disappointed... I figured there would be lots of levels but I think I counted like.. 8.

Also.. did the character.. die? lol..

this was like
I Wanna Be the Guy
but more frustrating since this was an actual game xP

the graphics and sounds were great
gameplay was fun
but for someone like me who becomes enraged rather easily, it becomes frustrating
really cool though

Just thought I’d mention that I reviewed this game on the KwikLook Blog.

Kept me occupied for a while. Very unique game.

That game was really fun. <_<

Took me forever to figure out the thou shall not move left one. Wasn't easy not moving left in other levels, too.

Only con is it was pretty short. Even though those levels kept me occupied for a while, there weren't many of them.

I beat it a couple days ago, but haven't had the chance to post here.

This is a very good game, I can really see the work that went into it. The graphics at the very end were amazing.

I'd love to see something more come out of this game, a sequel, whatever it may be.

I hope to see more good games come out from you guys!

This is a cool game. Took a while to beat it. Well designed levels, and nice graphics. Very well done! The only thing negative I have to say about it is that it probably won't leave any lasting memories in my mind.

I'm stuck at the level with 2 windows and a door covered with grass. How do you enter it?

EDIT: Beat it earlier today. How come even though the book of laws shattered, I can't touch yellow blocks? Anyways, for those who need to know how to beat the level above, jump onto the window on the right. If you die its because you touched the side of the block. Once you are on top, press X or down like the stairs to go outside to the last level.

Awesome game.

EDIT AGAIN: Lol, beat to it by seconds only.

Thanks! I know the game is a little short, but I felt that it needed to be that way so that casual gamers could actually get to the end of the game.

Thanks! :(

Thanks a lot! There's actually a sequel in the works, but right now everything is still up in the air.

Thanks! The game wasn't intended to be something you remember, but just a nice short game to waste some time on.

Try moving from fan to fan when you're at the top of your arc. If you need more help, you can look up some walkthrough videos on youtube.

When god closes a door, somewhere he opens a window...

Nice game there. I'm pretty sure I understand what your message was. Even if i didn't really like the message, you fit it in nicely. This entire game is a work of art, and I can appreciate it. Well done.

Thanks! There's really no concrete message in the game, so you're left to interpret it as you want.

Also, the file has been updated -
The game now includes an external text file called "quality.txt". You can change the value from 1 to 0 if you have severe graphical errors with the current scaling methods. The game won't look as nice, but it'll at least be playable.

I played it,loved it.

Nice to see proper oldscool graphics in a GM game for once!

Im sure people use the term 'retro' for badly made lowres images nowadays.

The gameplay was pretty cool and original, those 'commandments' where something i haven't seen in a game before.

And although it was pretty frustrating in places,it never made me want to turn it off because of it.

You guys have done a great job creating a retro feel allround, and i wish you the best of luck in whatever the hell your doing now.

The music and the graphic is great, their concept were certainly new (maybe that's not the right word) and creative. However, I find the difficulty curve a little hard to accept for a newbie like me. IMO it was about 3 times steeper than any other games I play. The rule book thing feels kind of ridiculous, combined with the stage designs, it basically allowed no room for even tiny mistakes and requires the player to follow the exact path in order to beat the game, restricting their freedom. Giving no visual interpretations for potential death is also a problem. Personally, I feel more comfortable with the entire stage decorated with spikes rather than touching random things and dying, wondering why I died, realizing I forgot something, getting startled by the sudden SE, wondering why I need to follow the rules, and trying to apply common sense to the way things kill me at the same time. This way of dying kills my patience.

Everything else is good. If not for the things I said above, I would give it a really high score. Since the stages and the rules are already designed I guess it's a little late to point that out. Hopefully, if you guys were to make a sequel, the system and the stage of the game may be more forgiving.

Looks like a great game, but the graphics are screwing up on my computer. Here's what I see:
pic 1
pic 2

Specs:

Vista 32Bit
8800GT 768MB
2GB RAM
6600 Quad core

I thought it would be an incompatibility issue so I use the GM Converter, but according to that it already runs under vista so I'm all out of ideas :/
