:) Intro
Welcome to ZomboCorp! The game where you play a guy in a room filled with guns, grenades, quasi-legal performance enhancers and a ton of zombies. Have fun.

:GM045: General Information
Title: ZomboCorp
Genre/Category: Zombie TDS
Download Size: 4.81mb
Game File-Type: Exe
Resolution: No Change
Written In: Gm7
Scalability: Has settings to run on older computers. If you are having problems, turn off surfaces and set effects quality to 0 or 1.

;) Gameplay
The goal at the moment is simply to survive. To defend yourself against the circle-zombie onslaught you have an arsenal of weapons, explosives and powerups at your disposal. Each weapon, grenade and power-up (stim) has it's own unique attributes. Gameplay is fast paced and satisfying, with weapons designed to create as much 2d destruction as possible.

 Latest Updates
Added a combo timer
Added a wave timer
Created an effect for zombies slamming into walls after grenades explode
Tweaked zombie behavior
Added a sound for the Damage Stim
Buffed the minigun
Removed line of code which made the game quiet
Made zombies sidestep furniture better
Fixed zombies getting stuck in walls
Tweaked most effects for efficiency
Various Bug Fixes

 Known Bugs
Cover will follow the mouse if it isn't placed during setup phase. (Rare)
Switching Stims mid use will allow them to work without energy, letting you use them infinitely.
Switching weapons occasionally causes text in the stim/health bar to flicker (fixed?)
I'm kind of hoping you guys will help me with the rest...

:GM069: Console Commands
I implemented a really cheap console a few weeks ago to make some testing stuff easier. It's not the VALVe console so bear with it.
To open the console press "O" and type any of the following commands (all lower case, no quotes"
"furniture" - Spawns a couch which can be used as cover. Can be moved via right click in between waves. Scroll the mouse wheel while dragging to rotate.
"weapon" - Allows you to spawn weapons. Useless at the moment as all programmed weapons are included.
"godmodeon" - Activates god mode
"godmodeoff" - Resets health to 100
"thereisnospoon" - Allows you to change the room speed
"spawnrate" - Allows you to change the rate zombies spawn. The lower the faster. Zombies will get stuck inside of themselves if this is too low.
"bulletcolor" Allows you change the color of bullets. Not very useful anymore...

:GM7: Other Stuff
* Im actually hoping to get more people working on this, specifically spriters and sound makers. If you think you can make this game look or sound better (not hard to do at the moment) send me a PM.
* If you have any ideas for guns, grenades or powerups please tell me! I plan to have a lot of firepower in this game.

nice work so far.
solid engine, nice splatter effects...

with some amount of work on enemy patterns, different levels, nice powerups etc this game could become pretty good.

Well, I enjoyed it. I don't think you should put 'most intense zombie shooter on the GMC' in your subtitle, considering you only have two replies to base it on. It is fun though, I think you can make it into a really good shooter with some more work. Good luck!

It was very difficult...I found myself losing quite often ;) Very nice engine, but I don't think its the "most intense" :)

really fun, it would be really awesome if u added the effect in my siggy... (tds flashlights) and the effects are killer. btw, try using 7zip, it zips ur files more completely for less upload time.

Thanks, I'm going to be adding more zombies pretty soon and am going to try and smoothen the difficulty curve out a little bit.
Any suggestions?

Yeah I'll give 7zip a try, don't you need 7zip to open 7zip files though? People 'round here don't even like .rar!
I actually had a lighting engine in the game earlier but dropped it because I didn't like it. I'm trying to keep things relatively simple visually. Thanks for the comment!
(I do plan on adding an option to toggle darkness, I'll check your engine out)

Alright, either today or tomorrow I'll update with a bunch of new features I've been working on. Combos, a timer that shows you how much time you have, increasing spawnrates, and tweaked zombie behavior. I'll also edit the main post with the console commands.
