What can i do with the hair and what else?

well first make sure you have the right colors. now try making a more interesting outfit, a plain purple shirt is just to boring. i wouldn't even bother playing if everything is that dull. also look at what gold, silver and crystal did with the hair. get inspiration, that is the whole point when your ,making a sprite based off another. and considering you took the lineart from the existing characters i would have figured you would have knew that.

Yea, the character seems a little to plain and pale. It looks almost more like a character template than an actual character. Breath some life into it, get creative. Like what x-death mentioned, I would not even bother playing the game if all the graphics were as dull and lifeless as this one. So, with these suggestions in mind, try to add some more flavor to the character. I will be waiting anxiously for the results.

work on the outline.Make it so that not all the outline is black, but the spot facing the source of light is a darker shade of the color used on the inside of the outline.

ok here i made some of the outlines non black and i also changed the hair a little.

what i else can i do to improve him?

Try changing the costume, maybe if it isn't a copy of pokemon try making him hold something.
I'll see what I can come up with using that as a base.
