I saw a request for a Floppy DLL, and I thought, "I'll make one!".

So I made one.

This zip contains the example and the dll. Post your comments and suggestions here.

Thank you this is a great dll. i am going to use it in many programs. However would it be possible to add checking if there is a floppy disk in the drive. i need my program to know the difference between a floppy drive not existing and a floppy disk not in the drive. I LOVE THIS DLL THOUGH!!!

Yes, to check if there is a floppy drive, you can check the drive. If it returns 0, then there is nothing in there/unused.

Whats a floppy drive? Haha just joking, but kinda old school. However, still useful to computers with floppy drive slots.

you specify the drive Path eg c:\ or a:\ or f: and it will return the drive type eg removable media or floppy drive. it also gets the drive size and tells you if it a 3 1/2 or 5 inch floppy drive

Would it be possible aswell to check if the drive light is on / it it is in use just like the HDD status indicator on the front of the pc
