Light In Front Of Character (flashlight,non-pro)

Hi, i wonder how to make so when you move the mouse around the character a light will follow the mouse, is this possible with no pro? :ph34r:

no its not. the only way I know is to transform the sprite and that is a pro thing :ph34r:

Assuming you want to make a light in a dark room (your question isn’t clear enough)…



Make a sprite with a big transparent circle in the middle and have an object draw that. Now draw four black boxes around the sprite to make it look like the room is dark. For example, when you draw the top left box, set x1 to 0, y1 to 0, x2 to the edge of the room, and y2 to the top of the sprite. Hope that makes sense. You should be able to do that in the lite version right?



But you should just buy pro. Well worth the money.

You should get pro, you can get a much cooler light effect that way (with alpha and such).

But yes, vghero's solution should work.
