please help:
Did you find a glitch?
Can you think of any new challenges?
Do you like it?(what about it?)
Do you hate it?(why?)
I have finished work on the level editor extra. If anyone wants to make some levels for the final release of the game please PM me.

Thank you for your time!

Chunky graphics... uh, nothing particularly special. But I didn't find much wrong with it.

Some people say that game design is their hobby and they wouldn't want to turn it into a chore by making it a profession. I say if you enjoy what your doing you wouldn't be working anyway.

Good graphics. Simple but consistent and the color scheme is quite lovely (if a bit fruity).

Graphics: Totaly fit the game
Gameplay: Awesome. Because you have different ways to end a level.
Total: 8/10

And btw,
How the heck do you think I got here?

In the next update I am going to have a menu and a level select screen. There will also be tips and a scoring system.
I am also going to try to up the levels to 20. The new demo should be down before Sunday.

If you have any comments/criticism please post!

I found a glitch.
In the last level, if you jump you suddenly spawn in the left up corner.

You didnt know? Because than it is a glitch <_<

So when you press space to start, jump up and a bit to the right.
And BAM you are there...

The gameplay was interesting for sure: it's an original concept and I like it. The graphics fit well together. Add in an option to disable music. Overall a good game. Keep adding more content!

You can update a game on yoyo without making a whole new one. You might need to update it on your computer if you are trying to instant play it.

But there is a new version up. I tested it and played it.

Miki Taka xD

Hey,
That collision bug is still there.
Sometimes,
when I walk into moving blocks, I spawn on a random place or at beginning place.
This time,
when I made a moving block,
I spawned very high in the air.
I only had to press right for a small time and I landed on the flag.

look:

You have to change those collisions... :)
Its very easy to win a level than...

Well,
I beated every level, without that cheat :D
make mooooree,
and if you make more.
Dont let me need to play al the previous levels again ;)

Well the pastel graphics is something Game Maker hasn't seen before. The style is simple, but great. The gameplay isn't bad, but it's much like other puzzles. Good job!

Great game, I am inspired. Looks chunky on the outside but has smooth gameplay on the inside with some puzzle thrown in there for flavor. Mmm, food analogies...

4.5/5 because its just that awesome.
The other .5 is better collisions, smoother animation, and MOAR LEVELS!

Great concept. It allowed for a lot for a lot of player creativity, without becoming too easy.
The visuals are nice, but hopefully new levels will have different color pallets to prevent it from becoming too boring.
Overall, keep it up!

Found a couple glitches, not sure if anyone's reported them yet.

In Level 1, the wall. I hit restart and it restarted with different music playing than what it originally had.
In Level 7 there's a constant "bumping" noise which can be pretty annoying.

Overall it's a pretty fun game. The music in the first few stages got annoying, so I'm glad it switched eventually. haha

Random idea, but I think it would be cool if the blocks left some kind of partical trail when you move them.
Keep up the good work! ;)

yea it randomly puts on music. I might make a little audio player.
Thats due to making 2 blocks on top of each other. Thanks Ill fix it.

Thanks

Ill see what I can do with a little motion blur effect or something.

Thanks. yea I kind of did that by accident. I was really happy with the way the levels had multiple solutions but most were equally hard. It just depends on how you look at it I guess.
I will think about... I will at least vary up the background through the different levels.

Small Update

Not the beta I was promising you guys. I have just been too busy. Stupid Finals and other projects.

I added in:
a level editor(but not complete)
Some new sounds
Different backgrounds for each world
Particle effects
3-4 new levels
A cursor

You can also unlock every level by pressing backspace at the main menu(for those who do not want to play them all again)

....and yoyo is still virus scanning after a day... just use the willhostforfood

and here is a new screen shot also:

Just trying out the editor, one thing that really sticks out is the inability to click and drag to place multiple items. You might want to add that in for the next version. Otherwise, the editor is pretty solid.

I agree with Spydog, its a pretty solid editor, spite the fact you can drag instances from where they stand, or drag and create multiple instances. And maybe right-click to remove?

The "warping glitch" is being caused by the platformer engine you're using. By colliding with the corner of the block, it does the "move contact, then set vspeed to 0" part. However, move_contact is warping you into the air. So, I would suggest using a mask for your blocks if you already aren't. Also, you can get the warping glitch by getting yourself stuck between a wall and a moving block (you can spawn directly after moving a block), and jumping.

Anyways, about the rest of the game: Nice graphics, and I had fun riding the platforms. :) I'd like to see this completed!

I am hoping that the thread will get more replies after I release the new version. In it the level editor has been revamped and you can copy and paste levels you make (in text form) and share them in a post.

Also there will be achievements, coins, awards and outfits.

That is why it is taking so long.

UPDATE. It is not finished but I have worked so much I needed to update it xP

CHANGES:
I changed the level editor a lot. If you guys make any levels I would love to see them. I am also looking for people to make levels for the final release.

I added in trophies and rewards for beating each level. The rewards include new levels, coins, costumes, and level editor pieces,

I added in 2 costumes and a shop to buy them from.

I think I only added 2 or 3 levels

Fixed glitches

Changed Graphics

Re-done platform engine

be sure to download the updated one form yoyo and not the old one. :D

Thanks, I am trying to finish it up, but I can't think of any more obstacles. Could you think of anything that you would like to see?

I am also looking for other costumes if anyone wants to request one. :)
