Well, Mike's working on an obfuscater for a later release, so that might sort out the problem (hopefully).well, the anti decompiler doesn't support games made in the updated version but I wish i could say the same for the decompiler.

Mike was clear that the obfuscation was for the HTML5 version, and had nothing to do with the decompiler.Well, Mike's working on an obfuscater for a later release, so that might sort out the problem (hopefully).

A reasonable interpretation is there are no plans to impliment obfuscation is GM created executables.
The obfuscator is for the HTML5 version and is nothing to do with the new decompiler. The problem with HTML5 is that you HAVE to release source code to everything, so this work is to protect our runner, and the end users game.

By the way, that screenshot... X:\ ? Do you have 25 drives, or did you just cheat and rename it?

it only supports version 8.1.91 . I don't see how Under_score would be able to keep this up to date .Whee, 8.1 support! Thanks a lot, Under_score!
in the meantime the options are either to backport to GM8 to make the .exe or to have a copy of version 8.1.91 on another computer or inside a virtual machine .

Oh, I must have misread it. Sorry about that.Mike was clear that the obfuscation was for the HTML5 version, and had nothing to do with the decompiler.

Hi, sorry about the apparent downtime but I'm on holiday in Spain at the moment (nice timing, eh?) so it's taken a while for me to notice. However the problem seems to have resolved itself without my intervention - if there's still a problem downloading it then please tell me so and I'll see if there's anything I can do to fix it.PLEASE FIX THE LINK!!
/ RE-UPLOAD
The encryption is not usually a problem as it usually remains stationary until the next major version, but 8.1 did dramatically step up the standard of encryption used. The real race is to get the anti-decompiler to safely encrypt the data of the game without preventing it from running, before Yoyo releases another version.Having this up to date will mean that score_under will need to dechipher the new encription each time it changes, so that will mean others will have the same tiem to crack it and make a decompiler out of it.. its a friggin race!

"This application has failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect."
I have Windows 7 64-bit. What is wrong?

I think that may happen even with a non-decompiled version. That error happens with the latest update when you try to use a high resolution icon.
I'm not quite sure I understood that correctly. I'm using Game Maker 8. Are you referring to the latest Anti-Decompiler? Anyway, how do you suggest I fix this?

Oh, I thought you may have been trying to use the latest version or something. I'd just seen someone else with the same error and the latest version. Just try using a lower resolution icon. If it still doesn't work, I'm not sure.
I tried using a low resolution icon and it worked. I'm just wondering why an insignificant icon file could prevent my executable from running. Do you know of any way I could possibly use my high resolution icon?
