I have made a website for my games, and need some beta testers for feedback.
If anyone else has a Game Maker sire on freewebs/webs, I started a ring.

ON the GMC, freewebs sites totally bug us. Freewebs is a cheap game making site that although at first seems proffesional seems really tacky. The templates are nice but are extremely annoying. Also, I saw a lot of grammar issues.

Compunerd Games was stared by Compunerd in 2007 when he was tired of the same games. So he decided to, as a start, make a game for his friends. What that was is now the Brotherhood series. Note: Changes were made to the game after the name was given, it did have hoodies in it, hence the name. (I will continue to work on them, but not right now)And now he works on making new and exiting games for free!

But I wasn't being mean.

I traded being mean to him, for being as sarcastic as I could be to him.

Please, please, please do no use Freewebs, it should never be an option.
Take the time to learn, just a bit of HTML, and CSS, or even installing and using a used Wordpress theme.

freewebs absolutely sux, it is the worst thing you could chose to do with a website, but considering i am such a nice guy i will tell you a little secret on awesome web page design.

first you need to learn to program html, or atleast beable to use a wysiwyg editor.
secondly you need to make your web page(s)
next you need to sign up to www.co.cc to get urself a free website.
next signup to agility hoster (www.agilityhoster.com) for a free account and configure that and your .co.cc website to work together
now download filezilla and configure using the details agility hoster gave you and use drag and drop method to upload them

tada! all done now you have a semi professional website
if you would like to see mine as an example visit http://nanotechnz.co.cc

about the freewebs thing, lolz ur a noob

you dont have to really know how to program in html, you just need to know how to use a wysiwyg editor.
my personal favourites being:
---komposer http://kompozer.net/
--- dreamweaver http://www.adobe.com...ts/dreamweaver/

dnt get ur hopes up on dreamweaver, you will only get the trail unless you decide to fork up $400

also my method is not complicated it is easier than you expect, it just sounds complicated.

just download komposer and give it a go, doesnt hurt to try

Compunerd, I may be able to help you out.

I'm currently looking for some websites to design to add to my portfolio, I understand a lot of CSS and all of HTML.

My school has dreamweaver, so I'd be able to use that.

If you want some examples, some of the websites are completely done, but they have enough to show what I can do.

http://www.psychestudios.co.cc <-- I now took over the coding, completely manage the site.
http://www.jomopsyche24.co.nr <-- Made it myself, including all the images and everyhing
http://www.gm-venture.byethost31.com <-- Unfinished project but it shows how I am able to convert stuff from weebly to my own coding.

yea thats actually a good idea, my school has dreamweaver on our skoll pc's.
if you can get your hands on that for a while you should be making awesome sites in no time at all (considering you follow my method, its easy, really)

You can make a pro site with freewebs...just not with their templates and editor. make your website on a real website maker...dreamwaver...for example...when u sign up to freewebs choose to not use their templates and uplpad your website. cover it with co.cc and u have a pro website. thats all it thats and its free(unless u dont have dreamweaver)

For reference, you don't need to use Dreamweaver to create good websites. :)

I don't like using Dreamweaver =/ Iunno. I just use Notepad. Dreamweaver just makes things to simple for old school programmers in my opinion.

I use Dreamweaver, but I'm a web designer so it's understandable.
My first website I created was made in Notepad.
