  • Title: Cash Register Example
  • Description: This example will teach you how to make a cash register that actually does taxes.
  • GM Version: 7
  • Registered: No
  • File Type: .gmk
  • File Size: 26kb
  • File Link: http://www.mediafire...php?9oclg7ytwzl
Additional Info
Ever wanted to put a cash register in the game, but one that deals with taxes?
This example has it all.
In this example, you drag items into the cart, and then it computes the sub-total, total, and tax. It is very easy to use, and no credit is required to use this example!

That's pretty cool :(

If you could remove items from the basket, it would be even better

$8.00 for a hamburger?

Anyways, items shouldn't be dragged to the cart unless they were clicked on, checking by check_mouse_button_pressed, not just check_mouse_button.

Ok, I'll fix that problem.
@ bikekid: That's a nice burger.
EDIT: Fixed. But just remember the dragging stuff into the cart isn't the point of this tutorial. The most important part is that it can show total price, tax, and sub-total.

Fun Fact- Cash registers at Mcdonalds are ran off of Windows NT and a program that controls the actual cash drawer through USB.

Maybe somebody could put this example to good use in their life.
