In my RPG game, I have been trying to figure out how to make it so that the enemies will walk around the room in a realistic enough fashion. I'm not really sure how to approach this though. I don't want to use paths, because that would be a lot of paths.

What I want is basically, how do i get my animated enemy sprite to walk around, switch to the correct facing direction sprite, and stop at collisions, all while not moving around like a jerky and stupid creature. I want the enemy to be able to walk around the room, and stop at random moments as well. I will use the same method for NPC's as well.

Any help is appreciated.

Also, I am unregistered, so that is important.

Well, I have been sifting through them, but can't find one that works with GM7 Lite. I am still looking though, but help would still be appreciated.
