room_speed*60 = the steps in one minute.
room_speed*3600 = the steps in one hour.

It is GML. You can set them to variables, such as min_steps and hour_steps, in the create event. That won't make your game run faster, it only uses the value of room_speed, it doesn't change it.

I'm kinda confused. :( How do I make a timer that takes 1 minute (GML) with that?

The "step" event happens (room_speed) times per second. So...

CREATE EVENT (if that's where you want to start the timer)
timer = room_speed*60; //because there are 60 seconds in a minute hurf

STEP EVENT
if (timer > 0)
{
timer -= 1;
} else (your code here)
