How did you make this helmet?
Did you start with an ellipse and moved vertices?

delete the one side of it,
move the vertex around as you please,
add darker colours to darker areas (it helps to hide the blockiness.)
and then there you go!
make sure you take your time and all of the work is worht it

How can i add a vertex/point at any place?
Like i just type in the x, y and z cordinates.
I don't think there is such a function, keep in mind this is DX8
also my latest work for somone who posted on my topic

I have a more updated version but this is just the basic
can you add multi threading to this aswell because then I could model in much more detail much easier!
soon this head will be finished and I think you'll be pleased with what you're program can do ^.^

I don't think there is such a function, keep in mind this is DX8
Well, then it will be very hard to make different objects. :\

start out with a sphere, about 30 - 50 steps,I don't think there is such a function, keep in mind this is DX8

and mess around with it from there.

yeah that was a bit of a bummer maybe its a technical difficulty,Why must you convert to triangles to apply color changes?
we're all looking forwards to v 5.1 / v 6 or whatever you're gonna call it
also my WIP

soon he will have actual eyes and a body a few days after that

Sometimes when drawing triangles some can only be viewed from a particuler angle. How come?
#76
Posted 12 February 2009 - 06:44 AM
But the solution is to always create the points in clockwise order.

Game Maker doesn't support adding colors to basic shapes in models. I can't change that. Why must you convert to triangles to apply color changes?
Select a drawing tool, then press enter. How can i add a vertex/point at any place?

I'm sad that you took the scroll wheel out for the editing views as it used to scroll through the facing axis
eg Z for top and bottom views instead it zooms in this scroll wheel really saved me allot of time when modeling that way I didn't always have to create a new face then move it i could just scroll the z value a bit then that vertex was positioned perfectly I really miss this feature
I think zooming should be done by a tool and the scroll wheel would scroll the facing axis that way when your modeling your not restricted to only 2 axises then have to move the 3rd axis into position
this feature in your first modeling program really helped allot especially when speed modeling >.<
awesome just noticed the extra 'tools' you added you should really tell us all that you added so that we know where to find it all :0. btw thanks for the extrude tool =D
