Story:
Wee Jimmy, a fellow with an oversized cheese shaped head is solving a bunch of puzzles for some reason, oh well help him solve all 50!

Puzzle game with 50 levels and an editor to make as many as you want. There are 10 bonus levels in the "levels" directory which may give you ideas to make your own.

The game is more than block pushing here is a list of game elements from the ingame help. Some features are unique to the level editor and aren't found in the main 50 levels.

Game elements:

Exit- This is your goal, guide Wee Jimmy to it

Water- Wee Jimmy still can't swim...

Blocks/boulders- Useful for bridging water, but usually just get in your way

Skull boulders- Divvint touch

Numbered blocks/boulders- Push into respective door to unlock it

Spring- A boulder will bounce off this (beware- moving boulders are deadly)

Bombs- Pick them up, press Space to lay them then get out of the way

Mr. Skull- Annoying chap who can push boulders. Avoid

Fireballs- Avoid

Strawberries- Eat them all to unlock the main doors

Electric walls- Fry Wee Jimmy, but you can push boulders through them

Black holes- Consume anything that goes into them

Flamethrowers- Are controlled by a switch

Gravel- You can stand on it but blocks/boulders cannot be pushed onto it

Pop-up wall- Pops up a wall when you walk over it, just as you would expect

Force floors- Take Wee Jimmy for a ride

1 player. Game was created in GameMaker 7.0 Pro so it should work in Vista but not sure, perhaps someone could confirm this for me?

Let me know what you think :)

And yes you will be doing a lot of thinking, the levels don't get any easier..

It's pretty fun, I like these kind of games but I don't have much time to play them, I got up to the fourth or sixth level.

I would suggest changing the title of your thread to something like

"Block Manoeuvres 2.2"
Subtitle - " A strategic game about pushing obstacles to get through levels!"

And add more information, saying only

"Tell me what you think"

Really does not tell players what it is, tell them what the games about, add screenshots, that sort of stuff.

It's a good game though.

Check out Night Bike for Android and iOS!

Curious on how to code in other languages? I highly recommend you check out Team Tree house. You'll learn a lot of skills and methods that will help with GameMaker, and you can learn how to code things to work with your game (websites, databases, etc). There are tons of small courses that range from beginner to advanced.

The game was actually not that bad at all. You had me thinking there a bit. Nice job. :(

Now for your topic. You could help yourself by copying the following, editing your first post, and pasting this in it (filled out obviously):

Name:
Category:
Size:
Version: (Ver 5, Ver 6, Ver 7)
Vista Compatible: (yes, no)
Resolution: (640X480, 600X800, etc)
Changes Resolution: (yes/no)
Mulitplayer: (yes/no)
Download Link:
Screenshots:

The game is pretty fun; not doing this is just hurting attention.

Manoeuvre is the UK spelling.

manoeuvre or US maneuver [man-noo-ver]
Verb
[-vring, -vred] or -vering, -vered
1. to move or do something with dexterity and skill: she manoeuvred the car easily into the parking space
2. to manipulate a situation in order to gain some advantage
3. to perform a manoeuvre or manoeuvres

The programming itself wasn't superb, but the level design had me thinking for the first time in a long time of playing GM games.

Can you give an example? Or any way to improve it?

No, I think you misunderstood. You did everything right, I was just saying that you made a very good game with programming that wasn't incredibly complex (I'm guessing. Nothing I saw looked to difficult to program.) Most games that I think are good usually take some cool features that would be very tough to make in a program. I wasn't bashing your abilities. I have no idea how good you are at GML. I was just saying that this is one of the few games that isn't complex(in programming), but still manages to be fun. Without a doubt, you are an excellent level designer.

Cheers :)

The most difficult part to implement was the level editor. I really like designing levels, if I find a game on the internet with a level editor I will usually make up a bunch of levels for it. :P
