Thanks Caniac!

Your welcome. I know how lonely it feels to work on a dll, post it, and no-one post in the topic for ages.

This was one of my first DLLs too! Well done, keep it up!

@Recreate,
why would it help with sidebars?
yeah, maybe it would be nice to know the current battery status, but there are so many other ways of doing it.

Any examples when we'd use this?

and the list goes on and on.
G. now I know why everybody blocks you.

edit:
sorry if Im being harsh, I am in a terrible mood now.
[dot][dot][dot]

You said many other WAYS of doing this not many other DLLS that do this
All of these ways of doing this uses a .dll!
You just proved yourself wrong

People, this was just my first dll. I knew about those other dlls. I just wanted to try this.

hey, I never said this dll was bad, it is a really great dll.
ex:
lets say you just wanted a dll that could do this, would you want 39 other megabytes of stuff hanging around for no purpost?
besides, I don't ever criticise dlls, or dll creators, because I see just how hard it is to make one myself.

@Recreate.

I said other ways,
that doesn't mean that they don't use a dll also.
it just means that they are different from this method.
you loose.

edit:
there is also probably a way to retrieve it with this:
environment_get_variable(name)

For the record, no.
But you can get some good info with that like the CPU type.

You could use this for any program. You would mostly likely use it for a windows parody thing. But, you could also use it for accessories like a media player, or system helper(Yes, a sidebar).

No no no,Dont you just change the story!
Lets see ways of finding that out: using a dll ,way2(whatever reading your mind)
You proved yourself wrong but then you change the story all the way around!

Please stop going off topic. This dll will not be updated anymore, because, well, its called a battery life dll, and there is not more to add to it.

Nice and easy DLL to use. Might be used in my games.

It would be really good if you could improve it with a function to return how much time is remaining in the battery.

Awesome DLL, just going to let you know your Will Host For Food link is dead (darn WHFF).

I downloaded one of the old links, though. I doubt I'll have much use for this (since I can just look at the little battery icon in the taskbar), but I might find use for it in C++ sometime. Thanks!
